Flubros and Flubras! Day 251 (a place for Flubros and Flubras)

It’s just the flu, bro.

https://www.foxnews.com/health/americans-face-new-coronavirus-restrictions-after-thanksgiving

Warning - Coronavirus fear porn above. Know your personal limitations - if you are a lurking fearbro then you need to avoid the temptation to give in to the porn.

-

I have been reading more and more about the importance of vitamin D and it’s relationship to having a healthy immune system. I mention this to call out the idiot politicians around the world who do anything to limit/prohibit outdoor activity in the name of stopping the spread of Coronavirus. I am 100% convinced that rules limiting outdoor activities in any way wind up costing more lives than it saves.

Economic, stress, depression, suicides, opioid overdoses, alcohol abuse, family and child abuse, cancer screenings and health issues not being treated are far more serious than the BS numbers that you keep posting.

Guess they don’t count because of this non health threat pandemic that’s no worse than the common cold/flu.

My cousin did not, he is the worse off. Most likely will die unless we get a miracle.

My Aunt who is 78, no preexisting did just find. Recovered

My 79-year uncle has preexisting, no issues. Recovered

The virus is very random if it hits you hard or not. I am thinking how fast you get treatment predicts the outcome.

It is still too early to tell what will happen with my other relatives.

“Can you prove this, forensically?
Of the ones who got infected, were they completely isolated in a proven sanity location until being exposed to your family members?

It’s science.
It is known.”

Do you want to pay for the forensic?

There is no sanitize location if you have people in your close circle who do not take precautions. Even that does not work you have to buy food and work.

The only you can do is take precautions to improve your odds.

That's completely irrelevant in the current season in the northern hemisphere if you are referring to sun exposure and Vitamin D.

“We will not have family over for Christmas now due to Just A Flu.”

My brother died in a car crash. Therefor, we need a 10 mph national speed limit. Because every life matters!

The point is NOT that a very few people WILL die if/when they catch the China Flu. The point is that our gross national overreaction is totally out or proportion, and that the Constitution doesn’t cease to exist because a few people die.

Our population increases by roughly 2 million a year. Even if 2 million died, as a society, all it would mean is we went ONE YEAR without a growing population.

“The daughter-in-law caught the Just A Flu as a bank teller servicing people who do not wear masks.”

Really? You KNOW that? Or could it be it was passed by contact via paper money? Or from viruses blowing out past someone’s glasses as they wore a mask, shoving the viruses higher into the air?

BTW - I know three couples where one spouse caught it and the other did not WHILE LIVING AS MAN & WIFE. And that would be without masks....

Then, you are slandering and defaming members of your own family by accusing them of infecting others.

Or, as the media likes to say about Trump, “without evidence”.

Fear of COVID or fear of troopers?
Just
Don’t
Comply

Texas is in the Northern Hemisphere and some people, including myself, spend significant time outside with a great deal of skin exposed. Is this really not a source of vitamin D? Am I deluding myself?

“””Then what’s in the vaccines”””

Hmmmm....maybe stuff that also kills off beneficial viruses and bacteria that could have caused the body to prepare itself to later ward off and fight cancer?

‘When I go out shopping, people only look at you so they can stay far enough away. This is dehumanizing.’

yesterday I’m out walking with my wife, and on the sidewalk a couple is coming towards us, masked up like extras on some dystopian movie; they swing several yards out into the street, like we have leprosy or something, and had the gall to nod hello to us as they passed...

I refuse to acknowledge people who act like that...

‘The daughter-in-law caught the Just A Flu as a bank teller servicing people who do not wear masks.’

this, along with the other bullet points you posted, is nothing more than speculation on your part...your DIL could just as easily been infected by a mask wearing, protocol following person, as cases spiking in high mask compliance areas illustrates...

one would think that by now you and others like you would understand obvious stuff like that, but apparently not...

Thank you for the updates you’ve provided here, and I’m truly sorry to hear about all the illness in your family right now. I hope they’re all able to recover fully soon, though I recognize your cousin is in a particularly difficult place right now.

I’m also sorry for all the abuse you’re suffering here. Some people can’t separate the politics from the human experience. It’s interesting to see people talk about masks being “dehumanizing” even as they rip into someone whose family is sick and dying for daring to challenge their narrative that the whole thing doesn’t exist.

To mock, accuse, and minimize the very real and very human suffering and death of a person’s loved ones is more dehumanizing than any mask or distancing ever could be.

Some people need to learn to separate their objections to government policies and responses from an emotional desire to make a specific narrative of reality be true. You can accept the reality of what’s happening while still objecting to the responses of governments and there’s nothing wrong with that. Where it becomes wrong is when you lash out in anger at those who share what’s happening to their own family because that doesn’t match with your personal agenda. THAT is dehumanizing.
