Freepers keep coming here saying it is more than the flu. This is NOT more than the flu. Even if we accept the fake death tolls then this is not more than the WWI Spanish flu and on par with the Asian and Hong Kong flus of 1957 and 1968. Additionally, if you consider human years lost then this is very mild as it doesn’t really kill young healthy people. I repeat - this is not more than the flu.
Now that we have shown this is not more than the flu we must state that the government response is an affront to the constitution and individual liberties. These lockdowns and mask mandates would still be a bad idea even if it was twice as many people dying. In the name of “health” we have done the following:
1.Forced sterilizations in the 1920s through to the 1970s in order to eliminate defective genes - Eugenics.
2.Permitted abortions (ie. Depriving unborn babies of any legal protections against murders) in order to protect women’s health.
3.Imposed carbon taxes and onerous regulations in order to protect people’s health from being climate refugees.
The bottom line is that all of the historical reasons to throw away the constitution in order to protect people’s health were stupid. In the same way, it is dumb for government to be taking action to protect people from the health effects of the Coronavirus. Government is too big and it needs to stop “helping” people.
