“That means that such children must do _hard_ work, including _hard_ physical work.”
Even the British Royals send their young men into the military to get their minds right. American “royalty” not so much.
Why would he be the only heir to the Getty fortune, I wonder? Since it’s worded that way, I take it literally. “He’s the heir” - not “an heir”...there are other family members..
If I remember correctly, I think it was something like the 3rd person listed in the credits in TV Guide.
Probably delineates by age..................
... a thousand words!
Party of the “little guy”
That show cracked me up. Everywhere she went, there was a murder and she solved it.
My theory: She was the killer!

Ha-ha. My Mom use to say that. This Jessica Fletcher character lives in a little Maine town and everywhere she goes people die. After the 7th or 10th time, people around her might begin to wonder.
The world will probably suffer as any charity is likely to be ‘planned parenthood’ or the such. satan has a double win. Takes this soul and then get funding to take many more souls down the road.
Was George Soros mysterious listed in his will?
In the old days they drank themselves to death, too.
The most important lesson the inheritors of wealth need to learn is that they are _not_ better than the average person, and arrogance is absolutely _unforgivable_ and will bring them nothing but disaster.
Most wealthy Americans were never taught that lesson.
Yeah. Drugs.

The ‘Dirty European’ style of facial hair is sure popular these days.
I’ll take “meth and heroin” for $400, Alex.
Probably the saddest part is someone took the time to write an article about this scumbag loser.
In my studies of 19th century entrepreneurs who made fantastic fortunes, none came up to the level of the founder fathers, and only William Vanderbilt even showed significant business talent.
While I don't have any knowledge of this particular wealthy family, some wealthy families have realized that if they split the family fortune proportionately across all descendants, even huge amounts of wealth (and much more importantly ... influence) become diluted after only a few generations. To hold onto that power, a sort of royal line of leading heirs gets created to administer the bulk of the family fortune, and those heirs are groomed to handle the family business. The other descendants get many of the benefits of wealth without the responsibility of keeping an increasing number of family members cooperating and moving in one direction to maintain the family influence. Whether or not this is a successful tactic, or even should be, is debatable. I'll let you know once I figure out the whole "become immensely wealthy" bit.
Agreed—and the key to happiness for the heirs of lesser talent is the old Clint Eastwood line: “A man has got to know his limitations.”
Yup.
