Hammerheads are actually sort of harmless to humans. Now if it was a hungry bull shark or tiger shark, this guy would be getting fitted for prostheses right about now.
Best rangefinders in the Animal world.
Cool...guy gives the thumbs-up to the drone overhead while he’s a couple feet away from becoming dinner.
looked like this video was going to spiral out of control at one point...but the shark failed to nail him.
That’s common with a hammer head...looks like a real nailing threat at first, but turns out to be acrylic
Dorsal is even breaking the water and the guy is oblivious.
This would also be a good allegorical tale describing the average Biden(Harris) voter.
Except substitute a Great White for the Hammerhead.
Kewel...
Not an expert. But I’ve snorkeled in Belize with Hammerheads and told they were absolutely not a threat. Nurse sharks too. Nurse sharks were enormous! Also, Lemon Sharks (?) Not sure.
“According to the International Shark Attack File, humans have been subject to 17 documented, unprovoked attacks by hammerhead sharks within the genus Sphyrna since 1580 AD. No human fatalities have been recorded.”
The things that pass for news these days.
Staged.
I had a friend stationed at Enewetak Atoll, whose job it was to once a day, be flown in a helicopter to hover over a nuclear blast hole in the ocean floor with a radiac meter with a very long probe cord. Boring job, to say the least.
Well, for some reason, one day they had to take a different route to approach the blast hole, and they made a very interesting discovery.
Just outside of the radiation hazard area a shark had set up its territory. As non-territorial fish swam near the blast hole and got badly messed up by the radiation, they would be dying as they reached the shark’s territory. So instead of having to hunt them, it would just stay there and gobble them down.
And sharks are like goldfish—the more they eat and the bigger they get. Plus they can handle a lot of radiation without harm and generally do not develop cancer.
In any event, as the helicopter flew over its territory and saw this monster perhaps as long as their helicopter, they quickly resolved to put out a hit on the shark.
So the next time they flew there, they brought a high powered rifle and a crate of hand grenades.
Hammerheads rarely attempt to but humans.
