ICloud sync seems likely for some of the data like pictures and texts. A bunch of emails were sent to and from his ICloud email account so that likely verifies ICloud was in use. I watched a tech guy on Bannon's Warroom Pandemic show say that he had to go digging for additional info on the drive image
