Fellow Freepers: Let us speculate on the Pardons President Trump will issue between now and Inauguration Day (whoever takes the oath.). He is now unencumbered by worrying about an election. (for those who say 2024 if not now - why would a sane person do that?) Anyway, I think General Flynn would be first in line. He was screwed over for being a loyal soldier and Trump confidant. The presiding judge refuses to drop the case just waiting for a new justice department to come on board and proceed with prosecution. Roger Stone - convicted for lying during an investigation of false charges that they knew were false. George Papadopoulos - Another ridiculous charge brought on as part of a fraudulent investigation designed to get Trump out of office. Donald Trump - grant himself a full and complete pardon for any crimes that he may be charged for that occurred prior to Jan. 21,2021. The question of self-pardoning to my knowledge has never been addressed but is not specifically stated as to be a limitation of presidential authority. (Certainly that would cause multiple heads to explode!) And perhaps he should pull a Gerald Ford and magnanimously grant a pardon to Joe Biden for complicity is his role in spying on Trump before and after his election. This would in effect force Biden to admit his guilt by accepting the pardon or risk prosecution (should Trump be found the rightful winner of the 2020 election) by declining the pardon. Kyle Rittenhouse - such obvious self-defense - a malicious prosecution should not stand. Mark and Patricia McCloskey - obvious reasons! I'm sure y'all can come up with a much longer list ! If Clinton could pardon Puerto Rican Terrorists on his way out the door to gain votes for Hillary in her carpet-bagging Senate Race, Trump can and should pardon those who have been prosecuted for assisting him and for standing up for what is right !
Flynn
Manafort
Assange
Snowden
Every Current Election-fraud whistleblower
Every Project Veritas employee
Every soldier coming home from foreign wars falsely accused of war crimes
Biden for being falsely accused of being president elect.
From the John Ross story, “Unintended Consequences”:
“I am also granting a Presidential pardon to all persons currently serving time for or who have been convicted of violations of the National Firearms Act of 1934, the Gun Control Act of 1968, the McClure-Volkmer Act of 1986, the firearms and magazine provisions of the Crime Law of 1994, and all other federal, state, and local anti-gun laws, including any and all concealed carry laws.”
A second one that is politically amazing, fiscally responsible, and probably morally correct too:
Pardon or commute the sentences of not the usual 1,000-2,000 people with connections, but tens of thousands of non-violent criminals. If a federal criminal has no violent/drug-dealing/gang record (including charges that were plea-bargained down) and they have been locked up for years, grant the pardon. Cut the size of our prison industry, without releasing anyone who poses a physical danger. Certainly read the cases individually to see if there is a reason not to, but the default decision should be letting non-violent criminals out.
Yes. These are both completely serious proposals. Why go retail and cherry pick high-profile pardons. Go wholesale and change the tone of our prisons and especially of our gun laws. How motivated will the BATFE thugs be if they recognize that another patriotic president can again wipe out the next decade of their unconstitutional prosecutions?
I say he should go scorched earth and pardon every single criminal that was convicted due to Biden’s criminal reforms or whatever it was. violent or not, just let the loonies loose.
my fear is that any open space in prison will be reserved for us Trumpers.
Great responses !!
“Roger Stone’s actions helped make the President look like he was involved in a cover up. IMO Stone has a tendency toward “friendly fire” then acting like he’s done his side a favor.”
Roger Stone has stood by Trump as long as they have known each other. He stood up for Trump long before many others did. He fought for Trump tooth and nail and still is. He’s one of the ones founding and motivating the “Steal the Vote” movement supporting the effort to prove this election was stolen from Trump, putting himself back in some jeopardy by the myriads of Trump enemies who would go after Stone again in a heartbeat. Lay off of Roger Stone. He’s been an activist that isn’t just an armchair one. He’s a fighter, just like President Trump.
Kyle Ritterhouse! Plane and simple.
plain**

Agree on Kyle. Clear case of self-defense. Can a pardon work before a verdict is determined? It should IMHO.
I’m guessing that Kyle’s trial is a long ways off.
Isn’t that a state charge? Can the president pardon a state charge?
😁 I suggested that several days ago, on another thread. Not only pardon Biden, but Harris, Bill and Hill, Sanders, Comey, Clapper, Pelosi, Cuomo, Schiff, Nadler, to name a few. None of them will ever see the inside of a jail cell anyway, so why not pardon them, just to torque their jaws. I would like to see the expressions on their faces. 👍
Didn’t he cross state lines?
Kyle needs to be convicted before he can be pardoned....I think
also needs to be a federal crime.
“ Kyle Rittenhouse - such obvious self-defense...plain and simple”
The President can’t pardon state crimes.
He doesn’t need or have to be convicted but you’re correct on the federal crime part. I thought he was charged with something federal? I would still pardon him if possible from future federal charges etc.
A blanket pardon for anybody who shoots looters during a riot... and a cash reward for whoever racks up the most bodies!
