Reminds me of the old Yakov Smirnoff jokes with his punchline, "What a country!"
"In American grocery stores they put a picture of the food on the jar. I can't read English but can tell what is in the container by looking at the picture. I see beans and it's beans. I see corn and it's corn. I see peas and it's peas. Then I see a jar with a baby on the label...WHAT A COUNTRY!...."

I wonder how long before the wokesters force Gerber to apologize for the whiteness of their label and consign Ann Cook to the ash bin of history?

The world’s biggest baby-food maker, which started in Michigan, opened its third plant in Rochester [NY] shortly after World War II.
Gerber Products’ iconic water tower, which looked like a giant baby food jar, became a Rochester landmark. Gerber shut down in 1982.
Kodak leased the building for many years in the '90s- I worked there for 2 years - and to this day, the building is still known as the Gerber building.

If you look at the right edge you can see what looks like the artist’s initials. I wonder if the original drawing still exists. It is a bit of America as well as a famous example of commercial art - it should be worth something.

A little bit of trivia.
Germany had a national contest for the ideal Germanic/Aryan baby. A photographer sent in a beautiful baby girl who was Jewish and she won. He knew this. Germans never caught on .

I had to eat that food when I was a baby in the early 1960s.
I had no choice. That's what my mother bought from the supermarket.
Then a few years later, she started bringing home from the supermarket volumes of Funk & Wagnalls.

Look That Up in Your Funk and Wagnalls!
