Clearing Up An Important Detail About The Georgia Runoff
11/22/2020 | Redheadedshannon

Posted on 11/22/2020 12:58:26 AM PST by redheadedshannon

I've seen some contradictory information about the Georgia Runoff Election for U.S. Senate, so I decided to look up the law to clear up the confusion: *Issue*- limits for voting in a runoff *Claim*- only those voting in the primary on November 3rd can vote in the runoff *Reality*- False. Apparently according to Georgia law any legal Georgia resident of correct age & registered by December 7th (I think) can vote in the general runoff in January. Georgia holds primaries like all states. You can only vote in one party's primary. If, during a party's primary, no candidate receives 50+ percent, a primary runoff is held between the two top vote getters. If you didn't vote in the initial primary, you can't vote in the primary runoff & you cannot switch to another party. Once a candidate is chosen in each of the primary runoffs, the general election is held. Georgias general election was held already on November 3rd. Anyone that registers in time & is a legal resident of age can vote for whomever they in the general. If neither party's candidate receives 50+ percent, a general runoff is held between the two top vote getters. This is the election scheduled this upcoming January. So, I repeat, it doesnt look like you have to have voted on November 3rd to participate in the January general runoff *Crucial*- it is imperative that we donate to or campaign for both Senator David Perdue & Senator Kelly Loeffler in order to retain the Senate majority. I don't care how imperfect either are, they are both a million times better than Chuck Shumer! GET OUT THE VOTE!!! If not, Democrats will run the Senate & the entire federal government & we can kiss our guns, free speech, religious faith & economic autonomy good bye! đŸ˜łđŸ˜ĄđŸ˜”

If we’re using Dominion again, the vote won’t be valid.

Donate? How would donations help prevent commie liberals from flooding the State and making it their residence prior to Dec 7th? It ain’t.

The laws are screwed up and should be fixed allowing only a person voting in primary, to vote in General and any runoff.

Having your borders wide open for after the fact run offs can only lead to MORE fraud

First off, it was not a primary on Nov. 3rd, it was the election. That should have tipped you off right there that it was a bogus claim.

Georgia law does state that only those that voted 3 Nov can vote in Dec. The Democrats sued and got a consent decree to allow further registration during federal elections.

We heard early on that those eligible included all voters registered by December 7. (https://georgia.gov/vote-2020-runoff-elections)

That’s true, but I was speaking of the fact that he said primary. Now that may have been a mistype by him, but my point was if that was an accurate statement, then it wasn’t the primary, it was the actual election.

And Abrams is quite proud when she SAYS she has registered 600,000 more Dems to vote in January.

But if you voted for any Senate candidate in any other state, it is flat-out illegal to vote in the runoff.

Citation?

I think you just have to live in Georgia and register by December 7. If you moved into Georgia between the November election you can vote in the runoff after voting in your original state.

My fear is all the people who "move" for the election. I expect there will be dozens of new residents at some Atlanta addresses in the next couple of weeks.

The runoff is a continuation of the General, so under GA law if you weren’t eligible for the General, you can’t vote in the runoff.

WRT out-of-state people coming in, first see above - the weren’t eligible then and shouldn’t be now. Second, there’s the word of some GA officials (no legal citation) here: https://www.breitbart.com/2020-election/2020/11/13/fact-check-you-really-cant-move-to-georgia-to-vote-in-the-runoffs/

It didn't work. Trump didn't lose Georgia because of Stacy Abrams. He lost it because affluent Republicans voted for Biden.

Yes vote...But, the same mail-in ballot rules apply as in general election. That means no signature verification on mail-in ballots.

Is there any reason to believe the same voter fraud scheme won't be used to steal the two Senate seats? Where's Mitch? Why aren't Georgia Republicans correcting the problem for the run-offs?

Oh, bullshit. He lost because of lack of signature verification on mail-in ballots. The rejection rate on mail-ins was 0.3% compared to three percent in previous elections.

Stop downplaying voter fraud.

bump
I erroneously posted the georgia constitution, and apparently there was a settlment to change the runoff proceedures to match federal election law..so there may be new people registering in georgia to vote..
thanks for the correct information.

I don't believe there was much fraud in Georgia, unless Stacy Abrams really is the governor!

Nonsense. The State and also Gwinnett county entered into consent agreements that circumvented state law regarding checking and validating mail-in ballots. There was tons of fraud. Now, my district is represented by a Democrat in the US House. That’s so incredibly improbable that it’s all the evidence of fraud I need. Do you live in GA?

You missed it, apparently. The governor and secretary of state caved to Abrams and refused to safeguard the mail-in ballots with valid signature ID. That lead to a mere 0.3% rejection rate as opposed to the typical three percent rejection rate.

Apparently, you also believe Atlanta was one of only four cities in the country that Biden over-performed Hillary in, even outperforming Obama in those cities.
