Ever since the ’90s, the tradition has been to gather around the TV and get bored of watching the Detroit Lions getting stomped. Someone immediately says, “Let’s watch the Turkey Day Marathon of Mystery Science Theater 3000!” And immediately the channel was changed and things got better as we waited for the food to be served. As soon as you ate your fill, you’d grab a slice of pie and head back to the TV. It was the perfect way to avoid conversing with the relative who swore the world would be better if it wasn’t for the…. Now this year because of COVID-19, we’re supposed to celebrated Thanksgiving in smaller groups because you don’t want to get sick from that same relative. The good news is you can now watch Mystery Science Theater 3000 Turkey Day Marathon 2020 from the comfort of your recliner without worrying about leaving your house or having people over. You don’t have to sit at the little kids table. You can eat dinner in front of the TV that’s attached to a streaming service. What’s playing for this year’s marathon? We don’t know since it was voted on by viewers and they want to surprise us. There’s going to be new introductions from various cast members and Bots. So call your relatives before 9 a.m. (east coast time) and wish them well and then sit back for the hilarity. Here’s the press release from Shout! Factory TV:
