The Republican Party is committing suicide
American Thinker ^ | 17 Nov, 2020 | Henry Edwards

There are so many assertive actions the Republican Party could take to support Trump, but it’s utterly passive. Its suicide comes at a cost for Americans.

If the Republican Party fails to use every possible stratagem to retain the Presidency in 2020, it will have signed its death certificate. The majority of the 73 million people whose votes for Trump were properly counted may well turn away from the Republican Party in disgust. Why bother to vote if the Republican Party is too feckless and incompetent to mount a successful challenge to a stolen election? However, this act of suicide comes at a cost.

When they’re accused of fecklessness, establishment Republicans, in their defense, will point to gains in the House and, if we’re lucky, to their holding the Senate gain. However, much of this gain isn’t due to the Republican brand but, instead, to Trump’s coattails.

At the “Republican brand” level, we have the self-styled “Lincoln Project” Republicans who aggressively tried to intimidate Trump’s lawyers before they got shamed and deleted their tweet:

If they leave the republican party, where will they go? The only thing left will be to secede and create another republic.

Beginning?

All end time prophecy is contingent on Israel becoming a nation in control of Jerusalem. Watch what happens when they are forced to divide their country for peace and security.

No. It’s “just” the end of America.
No one has the balls to fight for this country anymore. I’ve said this a million times. We have allowed this to happen by giving the DOE the reins on our kids, the indoctrination stations have succeeded in destroying this country. I have true hatred for the majority of teachers and administrators in this country. They’ve effectively killed America.
We have no one who will actually fight back that is young enough to fight. Why don’t we have people marching on DC and state capitol buildings pulling these corrupt people out of office? The facts are we’ve grown comfortable being serfs.

I woke up from that and realized that many if not most are part of the swamp

Glad to see you're "woke." (In a good sense.)

Republicans are in it for the money. They say what their constituents want to hear purely to get elected. Then they party like it's 1999. They profit off the graft and corruption just like their democRAT peers.

It's all business and has no place for morals, values or ethics. POTUS Trump was the singular exception. He's a Patriot, but we all knew it was merely a temporary reprieve. The majority of America is too corrupt, too stupid, too lazy to know or do the right thing. Heaven help us now.

That will depend on Trump. IF Trump leaves the WH next year, he can still stay active and he will be free to say more about the swamp. He will have bully pulpit on NEWSMAX and OAN and with Right Side News. In 2021 Trump can hold rally's for candidates that he believes will support the MAGA ideal of America first. It could also pave the way for his return in 2024 if he so desires. Even if he does not return to politics, he can use his popularity to push the candidate we want not the GOPe.

Let's see if I understand this correctly. You're going scorched earth because someone is saying that since the GOP is abandoning our President we shouldn't support them anymore and you're calling that person a Democrat? Seriously? Are you Mitt Romney?

Not secession, but we need State leaders who will fight the Federal over reach. Like Sheriffs who will not enforce BS gun laws and lock downs. Put MAGA candidates into State Houses and Governorship. Fight back against the Soros funded AGs and get MAGA AGs into State Government. The leftists anarchists realized before we did that's where the real power lies. You will see the South rise again because that is where the MAGA base is most powerful. Georgia will return to Blue after this election. But you will need a new MAGA AG and Governor I think.

The Republican Party establishment is banking on two things: 1) Working with their “friends” the Democrats they got rid of President Trump and now they can get back to business as usual pre 2016 with no opposition.
2) Now that President Trump is gone they will keep the Trump voters and when they actually have to implement any Conservative policies will go to the old stand by “ We love to do it but we can't because the Democrats have too many seats in the Congress but if you give us your money and votes we'll get it done after the next election.” Of course they'll enter the negations giving away 90% to get the Democrats to the table for talks, give up another 5% to get a deal with the promise to discuss the remaining 5% in a future Congress with in 10 years. They then will tell you that that's the best deal they could get and they really tried hard to get the best deal for their voters and of course there will be several”principled” Republican who will oppose even this because it's not true “republican values”. You rubes are going to learn it's a top down government you're allowed to donate money but your vote will only count to ratify the decisions that your betters have already made for you.

As soon as biden grants amnesty to the unwashed, this thread will become moot. Every republican will be voted out in the next 2 or 3 election cycles....adios America.

They clearly don't care, for a large part, because they are in on it. They know the elections are rigged and will gladly take the crumbs that are given to them to look like the elections aren't rigged.

The whole thing is asinine. If it weren't so serious, it'd be comical. I giant f-ing farce.

The Nation, the United States of America is committing suicide if the theft of this Election is allowed to stand. Anyone who believer that things will return to normal after Biden and the Democrats are allowed to steal this election are living in a fools paradise. And most Republicans already are.

To paraphrase Milton, the democrats would rather reign in hell than serve in heaven. To continue the metaphor, it seems that the GOP would rather serve in hell than reign in heaven...
