And then half the time, they find some degree of correlation, and just leap directly to causation with no further thought.

The study specifically focused on people in China, which has undergone a transition away from a traditional diet comprising grains and vegetables, to a more processed diet that includes greater amounts of meat, snacks and eggs...

Yes, please ignore the Cheetos, Ring-Ding Juniors, and Pop-Tarts. It’s the eggs!!

Maybe they meant "egg rolls" with hot mustard.

This is absolute baloney. I’ve been eating 2 day, 14 a week for over the past ten years and my blood sugar averaged over monthly tests for the last two years is 85. My A1c is 5.2.

I'd suspect this is a case of correlation, not causation. There are very few carbohydrates or sugar in eggs. I'd suspect the people who eat eggs once a day also happen to consume a lot of carbs.

Diabetes (and by this they surely mean Type II diabetes) is associated with being overweight and from eating too much sugar and carbs. It’s also a disease largely of prosperity - it may be that as Chinese have gotten more prosperous their consumption of all things have gone up - including eggs - but I’d be looking to weight, sugar and carbs before I looked at eggs.

"I'd suspect the people who eat eggs once a day also happen to consume a lot of carbs."

I bet you're right.   (Probably includes toast, home fries, orange juice, waffles or pancakes with maple syrup, coffee with cream and sugar, and other carb/sugar generators, and that's just for breakfast!)

said, "Fat and protein don’t release insulin into your system NEAR as much as carbs"

exactly right. This report is the opposite of reality. This is what passes as "science" for Biden supporters. It's like they're trying to kill people that listen to them.

Hey, bread and water. Maybe that’s why prisoners get so sick. ;-)
