SCOOP: Talk inside @CNN is @ATT is eying a possible sale of network to pay down massive debt from TimeWarner acquisition etc. Unclear if CNN can be separated from new co and whether there is a deep pocketed buyer. @JeffBezos is said to be uninterested for now. Get a straw buyer who will hand it over to Sinclair/Trump/ etc.
The only sale of CNN will be of the assets (like TV cameras and office furniture) out of bankruptcy court. Or the Trump Organization can buy it and rename it TNN.
AT&T headlines: AT&Ts WarnerMedia begins new round of layoffs amid reorganization (CNN is part of ATT)
Trump buys it, and has a lottery on who gets canned 1st, 2nd, 3rd,etc
He’s already propping up Newsweek and WP, he probably would like to have some businesses that actually makes money.
maybe they could bundle the sale with Brooklyn Bridge
When you said ‘network’, I thought you meant their cellular network. That is a valuable asset. CNN is not big money, they’d be lucky to $5 or $10 billion for it. Their total debt is about $154 billion.
I’m OK with them dumping it, though.
Maybe a conservative conglomerate can purchase CNN.
Wouldn’t that be a kick in the posterior ? FOX becomes socialist, and CNN becomes conservative.

Love to see that. The MSM has kept a leftist death grip on every asset for decades. Trump doing a covert grab would be justice served.
Trump Kids should buy it!
It is worthless they have negative ratings.
CNN is all over the world it would be great if we could have a network that put America first and to show that perspective throughout.
News networks are always loss leaders if they actually devote themselves to news. Many “news” networks today are simply talking head networks full of opinions, not fact. If you never get out of the studio, a news network can make money. But, also if you never get out of the studio, you never go where news is actually made.
CCP wants it maybe?
Sheldon Adelson might do that, I was thinking.
Too much media concentration would be my guess.
If theyre patient, they can get Fox cheaper.
Time magazine sold for $1. The real question is how much in debt is cnn.
I was reminded that one of the cnn HQs is the middle of the chaz in seattle. What’s the building worth now?
