Definitely call them back, we’re talking about your Social Security checks fer crying out loud.....
To: Chuckster
Yes I agree, ignore it. If you are really concerned though, call your local SSA office and ask them about it.
To: Chuckster
Exactly. Ignore. Unless you want to mess around with them and waste their time. 😁
To: Chuckster
Scam, of course - we get calls from Apple, Microsoft and Marriott Hotels, all phony.

Its a scam. Another scam call I’ve gotten recently involved someone saying the electric would be cut off.

I get those on a regular basis. ‘Bout once every week or two.
I wish I could strike back somehow.

It’s a SCAM but hey why not have some fun with it, start searching for a valid SS# of one of your Local Politicians, then call back and pretend to be them.

Did the caller also tell you that ignoring the call would constitute ‘willful commission of a felony’? I’ve also been getting calls about a large purchase being charged to my Amazon account. They often come from “invalid number”.
Ignore them or report the number, but I seriously doubt it will do much good. I would not return their call.
