It's fine until I tune into Free Republic, and then the screen goes upside down, or sideways, or twirls around willy nilly. Or it starts scrolling down uncontrollably and then shutting the page I'm on, and it keeps doing this even after I leave freep. Anyone else getting this problem?
Congress of Wonders?
Stop clicking links. These are the times all sorts of crap are passed from server to server.

I don’t think so, but their album REVOLTING was spectacular.
I think I might still have my copy, it could be anywhere in the wilds of the garage!
I’m still in mourning for Old Blue. He was the cutest smart phone I ever had. But he got old and his battery kept going down...
God Bless Dr. Demento. Star Trip remains the best Star Trek spoof ever.
Oh Wally! Oh Wally!
Do you by any chance put something down on or near your touch pad?
Because I had someone who had a problem like that and his problem was that he would set his coffee mug on his laptop just close enough to the touch pad to drive it crazy.
I did not mean to do that!!
Sorry.
Touch pad? What’s that?/;-}
An annoying little spot on your laptop that goes buggy every now and then.
Just joshin’ with ya!
The CDC link now works. I guess they were doing routine maintenance.
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/excess_deaths.htm#dashboard
There is an interesting result for the last week shown (the week ending October 24th). There were no excess (above average number of) deaths in the United States. I’ve taken excess deaths as an approximate measure of the impact of the WuFlu.
No excess deaths. Sounds like it’s all over doesn’t it? Back to normal? As they say, the devil is in the details. The US has only 1 week of normal deaths since the week ending March 21st. Just as important, some states are still above average.
A few states were hit hardest and first and sent infected people into nursing thereby committing seniorcide. These states have an interesting pattern. MA, NJ, NY show a very large number of excess deaths early, between March 28th and June 6. Since then, there have been no excess deaths. These states seem to demonstrate a full recovery.
Basically, they killed off their old people early. Many were going to die this year anyway. So subsequent months show no excess deaths. (Below average deaths are not shown in CDC data. That is a bit of a skew.).
So no harm done? Seniors were going to die anyway. Not quite. These states have had a higher number of per capita deaths for the year. According to another source, Statista, the probability of dying from the WuFlu in New York and New Jersey is more than twice as high as in Florida! This despite the fact that Florida has an older population and might reasonably be expected to lead the nation in coronavirus deaths.
