An East Haddam woman was reportedly attacked by a coyote twice in a single day. The coyote bit her boot before it was kicked by the donkey in the first instance. The same day, the coyote attacked again when the woman was driving her car near her home.
The neighbors encountered the coyote on their property and shot and killed it.

Thats ok, I dont think they allow coyotes either.
Wonder if it was rabid? Probably put the poor creature out of its misery.
Oh. I’ve never had occassion to say it, but: good donkey!
Hmmmm...did the coyote have a “D” after its name?
It was sure acting like one.
Not the best reporting.
Donkey? What Donkey, where?
Connecticut, in case anybody else is wondering.
Was the coyote bringing an illegal alien with it?
They are everywhere these days. One ran within feet of my mom when she was sitting in her suburban Boston patio in the back yard.
She will no longer use her patio alone after that experience.
“...Connecticut, in case anybody else is wondering...”
“Coyote” and “Connecticut” somehow seem to NOT go together in the same sentence...
Colorado and Coyote, or Arizona and Coyote, however, yeah...
Wonder if it was rabid? Probably put the poor creature out of its misery.
Wait. This coyote is a ‘poor creature’?
Or, were you talking about the woman?
Just curious.
If I'm reading the poorly written story correctly, it got kicked by a donkey on the first go round and came back for more later on.
My money would be on rabid.
I’ve heard them howling here in N/W Ohio...
How did the coyote bite her when she was driving her car near her home? Was the coyote in the passenger seat? The way they write these things...
.
Serious?
Were they brought in to populate the area???
Wolves, I can see... but coyotes “seem” to be desert critters.
If they’re in Ohio, they’re probably in PA too.
“Colorado and Coyote, or Arizona and Coyote, however, yeah...”
Texas, too. I saw a coyote run across the property back in the Spring.
Yes, Texas as well. It’s just a critter that I always - erroneously, apparently - associated with “out West”... not in the Northeast.
Learn something new every day...! :^)
They are all over New England. They are mixed with wolf DNA on the east coast. Much larger than the western coyote.
Donkeys are good watch animals. Coyote or feral dog steps into a pasture and the jake will attack.
“...mixed with wolf DNA...”
THAT can’t be good...
