BOSTON (WHDH) - Its a disturbing sight, dead deer in the Boston Harbor.
Now biologists are trying to figure out what is killing them.
Ive been coming out here for over 60 years, says William Knopf has never seen anything like it. When visiting Grape Island in the Boston Harbor last month, William and his wife, Maureen, found 12 dead deer.
They were all over the beach, there there there and there and there, just all dead. They were rotting and the flies were doing their job, says William. Its not normal.
Theres another thing they say isnt normal. The Knopfs have seen other deer drinking salt water from the bay.

They all voted under the last name of Deere.
Doh!
It wasn’t me or my coffee.
A Deer, A Female Deer.
If the deer pop gets too high they can run out of food, water, or just spread disease to one another because of crowding.
Back in the 80s for several Friday evenings in a row coming home from a week on the job, dad brought home a deer he hit with different S-10s.
Was this in season? With all that damage I hope he was at least able to get a tag for that deer and take it home.
Well, that is true for the one named Kamala. Not sure about the others.
I hit a deer last month and totaled my truck.
My sister 2000 miles away hit one last week and totaled her car.
17 dear deer on a beach? What’s the problem?
How did the deer get onto Grape Island? Is there a land bridge or are these deere native to the island? I took a look at the island and there doesn’t appear to be any fresh water source available?
Someone here from that area know anything about this issue.
Were they “social distancing”?
They also voted for Biden.
They can swim.
#21. Re “They all voted under the last name of Deere”.
At least they didn’t send in any “Deere John” ballots.
#26. Your dad needed glasses, ASAP.
There was a lot of heavy fog way out in back country. A few of his co-irkers had similar experience.
Good vision runs on dad’s side. Mom’s side has all kinds of vision problems. I inherited a few.
Probably a road clean-up gut wagon making another unauthorized drop off. Lobster will eat ‘em!
Oh... sure you say that now.
But I have seen you out there in the woods with your thermos, that little "first cup's free" sign around your neck.
I think the deer prefer that your mother drive even with all kinds of vision problems. She hasn’t hit anything yet. /sarc
A good driving safety wish for both.
