The lack of love for freedom held by a large percentage of the population is one of the reason GOP politicians are cowards about the Coronavirus. Until the population loves liberty over security politicians will err on the side of security. Trump is a great leader and a fighter but verbally articulating the virtue of liberty over security has not been his focus (his actions were better than his words when it came to liberty). So which is it that we need first - the people to love liberty or a politician to articulate the importance of liberty?
The founding fathers articulated liberty. Then a couple hundred years later Goldwater and Reagan came out in favor of liberty. Who is up next?

Apparently the casedemic is even “worse” in Europe. Many have population adjusted Coronavirus “infection” rates much higher than the USA. There are widespread claims of people getting Coronavirus multiple times. Yet only very old people are dying, and almost always not because the Coronavirus. If this keeps up I will be changing the name of this to “It’s just like cold, bro.” This is looking more and more like a mild endemic virus, like the common cold.

You are right. CDC came out saying only around 13,000 deaths can be directly attributed to COVID. All the other deaths were caused directly from some other primary illness or disease. You only have to follow the $$$ being paid out for each case and death reported as COVID to see why the death count and cases reported are so high. Numbers are a hoax.

This is not, and has never been “just a flu.”
Do you really think attempts such as yours to downplay what is now the 3rd leading cause of death in the US did not affect the election? This pushed influenza to the 8th highest cause of death (59,120 influenza deaths last year, out of ~35 million cases).
*Most* people, conservatives included, take the pandemic very seriously and do what they can to minimize their chances of actually catching the disease. But the left picked up on people like you to push the message that conservatives are too stupid to understand the danger, and that message resonated. So, instead of the election being a slam-dunk, we are potentially facing the end of our liberties with a Biden presidency. While I am hoping and praying this does not happen, it looks like a very real possibility.
Wearing a mask in public while a dangerous and highly deadly pandemic is spreading is a freedom enabler. We don’t have to stay quarantined in our homes when everyone is conscientious about wearing masks. But not everyone is.
