USC 52 S 20701
Here goes, folks: §20701. Retention and preservation of records and papers by officers of elections; deposit with custodian; penalty for violation
Every officer of election shall retain and preserve, for a period of twenty-two months from the date of any general, special, or primary election of which candidates for the office of President, Vice President, presidential elector, Member of the Senate, Member of the House of Representatives, or Resident Commissioner from the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico are voted for, all records and papers which come into his possession relating to any application, registration, payment of poll tax, or other act requisite to voting in such election, except that, when required by law, such records and papers may be delivered to another officer of election and except that, if a State or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico designates a custodian to retain and preserve these records and papers at a specified place, then such records and papers may be deposited with such custodian, and the duty to retain and preserve any record or paper so deposited shall devolve upon such custodian. Any officer of election or custodian who willfully fails to comply with this section shall be fined not more than $1,000 or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.
( Pub. L. 86449, title III, §301, May 6, 1960, 74 Stat. 88 .)
The federal recount would have to be done according to the laws of the state.
It might be a bit messy. But we would first, immediately know which states are following federal law for the election of federal officials.
This is well within the powers of the President who’s duties are to see that federal election laws are followed.
True. Why even vote anymore if your vote is dilluted with fraud votes. If Biden gets in which I do not think will happen then plan on these kind of sham elections from now on and the Republicans wil become extinct like they are in California.
3...... 2....... 1........ hello fire department, we have a fire........
Ballot fraud is a crime too but the ballot counters and other officials don’t seem to give a chit.
That’s because no GOP ever pursues fraud, so nobody gets caught. Why they ever thought Trump would just lay down like any old GOP loser, is beyond me. They sure haven’t paid attention these past five years!
Per ballot? ;-)
Shredders running and burn bags filling up as we speak.
Well who would decide if the electors of a state were valid if all their ballots were destroyed?
The US Supreme Court.
It does NOT say the votes are valid.
I believe the point is that there is a way to track the fraud because all records are required to be kept.
If a ballot was never requested and never tracked to a valid voter or was delivered after the final date, it is a fraud and should subtracted from the vote totals.
In PA the records are stored right next to the paper shredders.
Normally I would say something like “LOL!” as a response, but sadly, in this case, laughing out loud is not appropriate at all.
Because in fact you might very well be correct.
EXACTLY Chump change.
...we have a fire......

Or a burst pipe (which did happen)
