public-health experts think the process of distributing a vaccine will likely be smoother under Biden's administration than it would have been under Trump's. Experts also expect Biden to institute lockdowns in coronavirus hotspots. These measures, combined with Biden's championing of masks and social distancing, could prompt a decline in cases.

Number one: Biden can't impose a national mask mandate - he's not the Prime Minister.
Number two: Biden can't impose localized lockdowns - he's not a Governor. And, the people aren't going to automatically change their natural behavior just because he's president.
Number three: Biden resorting to the 2009 H1N1 model of vaccine distribution wasn't and won't be as effective as Trump's already in place military distribution to states.
Number four: 100,000 new federal contract tracers aren't going to have any more luck 'tracing' people as state hires; people still won't give out their info.
Number five: Biden will not get PPE flowing any faster than Trump. In fact, with his lack of experience negotiating business deals, he won't get as far as Trump was able to in vaccine and PPE production. Not forgetting that it was Obama/Biden who left the PPE cabinet bare.
Number six: Biden putting CDC back in charge, the same CDC which couldn't manufacture accurate tests, distribution or even accurate reagents, much less accurate numbers, is nuts. The CDC boffed H1N1 and boffed covid. But if we put them back in charge they'll suddenly be perfect? In a pig's eye.
So, no, the seas won't subside, the wind won't stop blowing and Biden's handling of covid will be a gargantuan disaster as he bumbles about, same as he did with H1N1, which led to H1N1 becoming an ongoing seasonal threat, especially in the USA. He has no plan and so becomes everything the Dems deserve.

Everything will just be terrific under President Biden.
And anything that isn’t terrific will be blamed on Trump.

OMG. How convenient to arrive on the scene at the end of a Pandemic curve.
To: blueplum
Yes but the media will just stop reporting it. Seniors will die of Covid but they will report it as natural causes.

Well, I’m sure Biden’s needle is smaller, so there is that...
To: McGavin999
Yep. So it’s the end of the pandemic in the eyes of the American public. Then once the vaccine gets rolled out in a couple of months, media will give credit to President-elect Biden’s decisive leadership.

Well, we all know how Obama’s ‘pen and phone’ technique worked out for the DACA thing and neatly side-stepped Congress. Then when Trump tried to nullify the EO by Obama to get rid of DACA that was struck down.
So I think it will all come down to how willing everyone is to again look the other way while un-Constitutional powers are allowed a Dem President that would be otherwise denied to any other President.

Sounds like a threat.
Inaugurate Biden or the economy gets it.

scuttlebutt is he plans to scrap the current vaccine development/investment under way to favor certain medical startups his son-in-law doctor is invested in, (chinese?) but that’s just scuttlebutt right now. Maybe a reporter can dig into that further.
