What the hell are you smoking?
I think the stuff is a bad idea.
I also think the federal government really has no business making a weed illegal.
What I really want is for the government to get out of the charity business. No welfare. No food stamps. No assisted housing. You’re on your own. If you can build a solid life for yourself while using drugs, that’s fine. No problem at all. But if everything falls apart for you, don’t come crying to me and demand that I fund some “programs” for you.
“Marijuana has been called a Gateway drug”
Only by big-government loving jackbooted morons.
You were right about that.
What you say about pot is true of ANY minor wrong-doing, softening one's attitude towards other wrong-doings.
Speeding?
Pre-marital sex?
Leaving the office early (these days, kicking back for a nap early)?
Any of a million "Little White Lies"?
Eating the last cookie and blaming it on your sibling?
In other words, you pick on "pot" as a Gateway Crime" but it's one of a million such.
Isn’t this a valuable waste of bandwidth?
Go away and watch 'Reefer Madness' for the thousandth time.
Numerous studies have concluded that marijuana is one of the major causes of permanent psychosis and schizophrenia.
You don’t know wtf you’re talking about. I’ve been smoking pot for 40+ years, I’m not a criminal and it has not been a gateway drug for me. Also, I much prefer to be around people smoking pot than people whom are drinking alcohol.
problem is really this...too many religious think all they have to do is say "Jesus is my Saviour" and shazamm...they can cheat, lie, steal, porn until the cows come home because they are already "saved" no matter what evil they do...
there is a huge disconnect with people....
The drug addicts’ marijuana vs. alcohol argument is also a fallacy. Most marijuana users also drink too much in order to sedate themselves and avoid the initial paranoia of the marijuana high. After the initial, overly exciting high, users sink into a sedated state. That cycle develops after a few years into episodes of mania, depression and altered perceptions (delusions). After years of lying to themselves and others about drug abuse and effects, users become compulsive liars. They devolve generally into antisocial behaviors.
So if pot is no longer a crime it's no longer a gateway to other crime; thanks for the pro-legalization argument!
