I'm one of JimRob's admin mods on his Free Republic on Facebook (Free Republic Official) facebook page. We're 14,000 strong and growing everyday!
Tuesday, election day, most of the threads posted there dealt with the election results and the obvious voter fraud that was happening in the blue states, just like those threads posted here on the FR motherboard.
Well, yesterday and today, FB has cracked down on us, (and other conservative FB forums), even further and isn't allowing any members to openly post their threads without FR moderator approval.
It puts an extra burden on the mods here because none of us are here 24/7 and this is a high-volume forum, members usually post throughout the day and night.
It's just more Hi-Tech censorship bullsheesh that we conservatives have to put up with.
Oh by the way, donations to the FReepathon are always welcome to insure that free speech and our 1st Amendment thrives here!
Of course it is, Im surprised it is even up still
Not helpful to say this.
Ditto! I have over 5000 people connected with me and my page has slowed down badly for the past week.
Some posts don’t get viewed at all, some very few reactions.
Nothing like my usual hundreds of reactions, shares and comments.
Shadow banned for sure. But I keep on posting.I have too many people reliant on my page for their only news in WNY
Thank God and Jim for this website! Thanks Procon!
Horrible. Just donated 20 today.
And maybe some time in the future you can move over to parler?
thanks for everything we appreciate it
Freerepublics days are numbered if we dont stand up for Trump and our country. If this fraud is allowed the internet will be completely censored inside a year.
The only things trustworthy on Facebook are cat videos.
FB throttled me a couple of months ago. Then came the rampant fact checking and then after I endorsed President Donald j Trump and two MI Supreme Court justices my personal account on FB as well as my 95,000 member strong Michigan for 2A sanctuary counties page was deleted/blocked/shredded and buried forever. I exist only in the ether. I was a member of the FR FB page and posted there frequently.
Reddit did the same thing with r/the_donald before finally banning them.
well certain places for sure
but the only way they have any power over you is if you use them
i dont use facebook or twatter and they cant censor a dam thing i do
they are dinosaurs and eventually will be replaced by other models and sites that people will eventually demand
if someone invents a site that doesnt harvest personal info, read your messages, censor you in any way, and really only gets rid of people if they are harassing bullies and just deliberately trying to degrade the site or posting criminal statements - which would be evident -
that place will eventually supercede the tech censor sites that inflate their user numbers to charge fraud ad prices
MeWe is a suitable alternative.
All conservative forums I’ve posted from have been throttled, especially Townhall and American Thinker. I decided some three weeks ago to just unfriend Facebook. They’re no longer making revenue from me.
I need to get a HAM license, while we still can :/
They are going to start going after domain host and they will start to put Pressure on ISPs to block “propaganda” sites like FR. This is not far and is a logical escalation to censorship. It’s starting with social media because it’s low hanging fruit but the ground work for more infringement is being and has been layed
MeWe is a desert, unfortunately.
I was a member of FR on Facebook. Applied for a job at Facebook doing Oculus VR. Said my group memberships didnt meet their community standards for employees. I did not give the hiring manager my Facebook account. But they tied it to my email I applied under.
What chapter of 1984 are we in? </S
