What bothers me are people going around solely using the COLOR in lieu of name of party and ideology. The absurdity of our side(?!?) yelling, “GO RED ! GO RED ! GO RED !” is absolutely mind-boggling.

I think the psychological tactic of forcing conservatives to use leftist terminology and accept leftist arguments is a major part of the problem WHY are able to take over formerly "safe" GOP areas and move the country further and further leftwards on social policy, when "our side" wins on paper. So many conservatives just roll over and accept what the mainstream media and RATs tell them is the way things work. For example, the vast majority of "conservatives" now accept that state governments can defy natural law and define marriage to mean whatever they want it to mean, that JFK was a great heroic figure in American history, and that we "need" to have some kind of federal government run health care program.

In many ways, the Bush-Gore contested election of 2000 was the start of the mess we are in now, and we are still suffering the effects of the media damaging the GOP brand by labeling us "red". Plenty of conservative FReepers even buy the leftist propaganda about that election now, such as the argument that Katherine Harris intervened with the results and "gave" FL to Bush, or that the Supreme Court voted 5-4 along party lines to "make Bush the President"

So yes, the GOP being labeled "red" is a big reason WHY the Dems are out trying to hijack the election now. And I point to what's going on in AZ right now as Exhibit A. This "VOTE RED!" crap did exactly what the RATS hoped it would.
