Just wanted to share. I received TWO post cards yesterday, my address, but addressed to my Dad, who died in May!
One is from St. Louis, MO and the other from Carol Stream, IL. Both hand-written.
'Paid for by Indivisible Chicago Alliance' so you know it's Dems sending them.
One sounded threatening:
"Thank you for being a voter! Who you vote for is secret but whether you vote is public information. After the election, Tues. Nov. 3, local organizations may follow up with you on your voting record." ~ Theresa
This one sounded like typical Socialist Democrat blathering:
"We do our best for our families no matter our color or gender. But some politicians divide us and block access to affordable healthcare, good schools and clean water! Let's join together and vote in the Tues. Nov, 3 election!" ~ Nancy
Anyone else receive these for yourself or any of your recently deceased relatives?
I'm curious to know who my Dad will end up voting for - because I can look at his voting record, don't cha know!
*SPIT*
Postcards become unlikely tool in effort to oust Trump
The postcards Chang and her friends have written are among 15.7 million organized through Postcards to Swing States, one of several new groups organizing get-out-the-vote efforts to boost Democratic turnout.
Its just a testament to so many people deciding to prioritize participating in democracy in their life, said Ramsey Ellis, who co-founded the group along with Reid McCollum to oust their local Rep. Peter Roskam (R) in 2018. Since then, they have seen interest in the group explode.
It just spread really, really, really quickly through word of mouth, McCollum said.
One reason it was easy to get people on board was because McCollum and Ellis had evidence that the postcards were effective. They found that people who received their postcards were 1.2 percent more likely to vote.
For many, it was an easy entryway into activism for people who might be turned off by the idea of risking contentious exchanges in face-to-face conversations or awkward phone calls.
We like to call it the gateway drug for activists, McCollum said.
Ellis said her parents fill out 10 postcards every morning before breakfast.
They call it their democracy vitamin, she said.

I have gotten numerous “letters” with similar info from an address in Des Moines, IA. It is something like “Voter Information Services” or similar generic group name. Pointing out that they will be able to know whether or not I voted.
When I realized it was some democrat group sending them, I figured to just let them keep wasting their money sending to me.
“And if you don’t vote, don’t worry. We’ll do it for you.”
And if you dont vote, dont worry. Well do it for you.
Yep. As I said, curious to see Dad’s ‘voting record’ after this election! He may just come back from the dead to vote for President Trump, LOL!
The ONLY Dem he ever voted for was JFK - but then, everyone did. Never any local Dems, ever - and he got us OUT of, ‘The People’s Republik of Milwaukeestan’ as soon as he was able. :)
I think he will be voting twice for Trump.
Modify the Postcard and out the Charlie Hebdo Mohammed Comic Picture on it and send it to all the Local mosques.
Why that’s outrageous!
He should only get one!.............
Living in cemetery is no reason not to vote.
Good thinking.
Good thinking.
[T]he first step in the revolution by the working class is to raise the proletariat to the level of ruling class to win the battle of democracy. And then when they seize power . . . ?
Communist Manifesto, chapter 2
What will be the course of this revolution? Above all, it will establish a democratic constitution, and through this, the direct or indirect dominance of the proletariat.
The Principles of Communism
Dictatorship is a state of intense war. That is just the state we are in. [ ] Until the final issue is decided, this awful state of war will continue. And we say: À la guerre comme à la guerre ; we do not promise any freedom or any democracy. They are the same now as they were 99 years ago.

Note to Theresa: GFY.
I got a phone call Tuesday night from a woman representing the local DFL candidates.
I’m sure she’s a real nice person.
I hope she eventually recovers from the beat down she got from me. It was pretty good.
We lived in the Seattle area (The Peoples Republic of King County). Moved back home to AZ 3 yrs ago when Mr Tea Drinker finally retired. He just got a ballot from King County sent to our home address in AZ.
When Donald had China flu, I got a call on my cellphone (no landline) from a woman wanting to know if she could count on my vote for Sleepy Joe and Gun Grabber Kelly. I told her no and that something was wrong with Sleepy Joe. Im paraphrasing her answer as I cant remember the exact wording - Trump had China flu so he was probably going to be gone (dead) by the election. Then she hung up on me.
“I hope she eventually recovers from the beat down she got from me. It was pretty good.”
LOL! I can just imagine. ;)
Classy as always, aren’t they?
My cell (also, no land line) has rung 3-4 times a day with ‘unknown callers’ which I refuse to answer. They don’t leave a message, but they have a ton of text messages they send to me assuming I’m voting for Biden.
I have NO idea where they’re getting this information from. If they’re checking my, ‘voting record’ I’ve voted for ONE Dem in my entire life - and that proved to be a mistake as Russ Feingold was a total @ss to me when I had to ask him, in uniform, at our State Capitol, for a lousy $30K to keep a family assistance program going for mobilized soldiers during Operation Desert Storm.
He acted as if he were personally writing me a check from his own wallet. And he was rude and condescending.
But - I got the money, LOL! Jerk.
I also got SPIT ON that day, in my Class A Uniform by some PUNK on the Capitol steps. I was in heels, but I feinted that I was going to chase him and smack him down and he ran off like a little girl.
Again, such class, those Socialist Democrats! ;)
Make that THREE Post Cards! Another one came in the mail today, addressed to Dad - again, from Illinois.
