My 22 year old and my 18 year old, both Trump voters but new to voting, seem confused and flummoxed by it all.
I will assist them and ensure they manage to vote.
But not surprised to hear this. For some reason this year it all is made to seem very confusing for all of us.
It will take some strategy to get it done this year. But us Gen X parents will assist these Gen Z new voters. :)

We vote early every year, in case we get stuck at home by a winter storm...it’s happened. Four miles of unplowed, unpaved ranch roads just to get to the unplowed/’no-travel-advised’ highway is not going to keep, and never has kept, us Boomers from casting our ballots.
We get absentee ballots, then hand—not mail—it in as soon as they’r first accepted. A lot of our neighbors do the same.

I heard that there will be raves Monday night in every locale. It’s informal, nationwide, GenZ/Millennial day. Large numbers of girls will be attending. It will be a dis’ing message to the Boomer/GenX establishment.
I’m not sure this is great news, although I’d rather have 65+ voters over the under 30 crowd. But judging by most polls those are the two groups most likely to vote Biden. It’s the 30-64 crowd that is heavily supporting Trump.

It turns out that without communal college get out the vote campaigns where they all go en masse to the polls (to vote Democrat of course), younger people are really hard to get to go vote.
It also turns out they have little enthusiasm for a 77 year old who has been in politics for as long as some of their parents have been alive and who is obviously suffering from dementia. Go figure.
with many campuses closed / virtual, GOTV efforts must certainly be hampered.......which is fine by me.
