We vote early every year, in case we get stuck at home by a winter storm...it’s happened. Four miles of unplowed, unpaved ranch roads just to get to the unplowed/’no-travel-advised’ highway is not going to keep, and never has kept, us Boomers from casting our ballots.

We get absentee ballots, then hand—not mail—it in as soon as they’r first accepted. A lot of our neighbors do the same.

For 18 years now, I've helped out with the last minute GOTV "late voter chase". You don't know how disheartening it is to talk to a committed Republican woman 30 minutes before the polls close, only to find out that she truly meant to vote that day, but a child got sick that afternoon, so that was that.

Argh! Vote the day before!! Please!!! Or at the very least plan to vote first thing in the morning on Election Day, so that if something goes wrong you have all day to implement the backup plan.
