Skip to comments. How can NPR claim the Biden story is baseless when it refuses to investigate it?

All National Public Radio hosts talk as if they are standing in a nursery, afraid to wake the baby up, or trying to pacify a distempered hound. Their soft tones, slow utterance and hushed breathlessness are meant to convey that NPR is a sanctum, a cathedral of reason and restraint, and that what comes via such delicately modulated, church-whisper voices must be true.
Nowhere was that voice so needed than in the extraordinary statement it put out about the Hunter Biden story, which has already been banned by Facebook and Twitter: We dont want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories, and we dont want to waste the listeners and readers time on stories that are just pure distractions. And quite frankly, thats where we ended up, this was a politically driven event and we decided to treat it that way.
Theres a lot of we in that statement. Who are these we who are so certain of a story they wont report on? Do they have soothsayers on call? Have they disinterred Nostradamus as NPRs preferred fact-checker? Or is this the kind of certitude that only comes from being woke and terminally, adamantly anti-Trump?
Advertisement Article content continued NPR, in this instance, is merely a camp follower of the much less austere Twitter, which has blocked the New York Posts reports on Hunter and Joe Biden from the beginning. And when Twitter and public radio are of the same mind on anything, it is fair to observe how very little mind is involved.
NPR is also at one with the mainstream American media broadcast and print in choosing to disregard the revelations of the Biden familys dealings, and most especially, any troubling revelations about Joe Biden himself.

The same way that all “pro-choice” people have said that pro-lifers are liars.....HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU HAVEN’T CHECKED???????
The same NPR that will repeat every story from the NYT that was based on an anonymous source.
Lol. NPR talkers always sound smarmy and unctuous to me. Certainly not “soft tones, slow utterance and hushed breathlessness”. They’re a buncha con artists. Too bad the Pubes never had the guts to defund them.
If Trump wins he should defund NPR.
We can some take solace in that people who listen to NPR are voting for Biden and this story would not make any difference anyway.
Because they are NPR and a bunch of jerks who will not be held accountable by any decent news source.
When he wins I am pretty sure he has a long list of people and organizations that are going to be ended.
Wanting it to be baseless is not the same as it being baseless.
Doesnt take a genius to understand this.
this is the same NPR who yesterday had some idiot on talking about how violent the right wing is and he fears what they’ll do....
The only thing I ever liked about NPR was the guy who used to read books.
It’s baseless? It just emanated from nowhere by itself? Someone wrote it up, created the emails, etc. They don’t care who did such a thing to a presidential candidate?
Some journalists they are.
The only thing I ever listened to on NPR was Car Talk. That ended and I havent listened to that station since.
National Propagandists Radio should’ve been DEFUNDED LONG AGO. We pay for this ear pollution, brain rot. SHEESH.
Is this a trick question??? NPR is just another propaganda arm of the dnc...let Soros and China fund them...
Yeah, I happened to listen to NPR this morning and it was wall-to-wall with stories of rural militias and rightwing nuts preparing for — hankering for — Civil War II, all with Pres. Trump’s implicit urging and approval. Not a peep about actual lefty / bolshevik rioting and looting! They really do live in an alternate universe where, as Dennis Prager likes to point out, truth simply is not a leftwing value.
They are all getting cover from the FBI’s refusal to investigate it.
Those crazy right wing extremists have been terrorizing Philly for the last couple of nights...
Click and Clack, the Tappet brothers! Loved them!
