These people just don’t think.
Electric vehicles don’t make sense unless the power delivery infrastructure can handle the load, which it can’t.
Until it can, owning an EV is just a “look at me” item.
Well, if you think it’s a good idea to keep a spare Tesla battery in the garage that’s cool. Should only take several hours and a complete auto shop with specialized tools to change it.
They aren’t 12 volts, those cars. More like 200VDC. DC is far more dangerous than the same voltage of AC. Messing with them will kill you quite quickly.
I guess someone could have a 5KW gas or diesel generator. But even then it will take hours to charge the car.
I think that may actually be the plan.
Yeah, but their bodies probably give off CO2 as they burn. Better to be sunk in the ocean to serve as food for whales and sharks. Course then the whales fart, so.....
Like I would feel sorry for anyone buying an EV. Net wise they pollute more than gas powered cars.
Good time for some con artist to come up with a hand crank genny to sell to them. Simply crank it hard for 2 to 3 days to get a partial charge.
I know I have! Can the government be far behind?
We have had them.
Basically a lack of publicity.
The same way you can if there is no gasoline in your tank.
I am not a big fan of having an EV for a primary car, but EV's sold today have plenty of range to get to and from the store. I definitely wouldn't own one as a primary car if I lived in places prone to hurricanes, fires and earthquakes..
Our Amish neighbors back home have an alternate fuel source: apples and hay. Try it.
Carpool or bus.
Perhaps put a solar panel on the roof, and then you’ll be all set...

...to drive roughly 4 miles, if you get good charging for a full day.
Batteries die off...A gas can doesn’t....

(Make sure you always have a filled 5 gallon gas can at home!)
Actually, a gas can DOES die off.
In one year, give or take, gas becomes useless for combustion engines.
I hope you like this glimpse into your future if you don’t vote out all of the democrats in your districts now.
**How Can I Flee Wildfires in My EV When There’s No Electricity?**
Simple! As Euell Gibbons jokingly said years ago, between his Grape Nuts adds...”Just plug it into some Wild Currants and go on!”

I did not know that...Thanks...
Fairy dust of course, Duh!
