She sounds very knowledgable and reasonable.
I’m hearing in PA. about a very large number of false positives. These folks must quarantine for fourteen days, and never develop symptoms.
That’s a lot of lost wages.
Lost me at “gun violence.”
Pcr tests are designed to have the error rates to the false positive side of the equation. The reason is from a epidemiological Point of view it is better to have people identified and quarantined as positive to an outbreak which then can be retested repeatedly and let out of quarantine if truly false. Than to have a false negative and that person not be quarantined and be spreading the contagion. This is common and solid epidemiological practice. Nearly EVERY pcr test is designed exactly this way. False positives are the desired outcome vs false negatives better to inconvenience someone for a few days while the sample is retested then to let them spread the pathogen as a false negative. Anyone who studies science should know this already.
Ive been a nurse for 23 years and my spouse is a physician.
I agree with this. 100% my experience too: diabetics are the ones dying, deaths are rare, false positive rate is high, and tests are being counted more than once despite originating from one patient.
Yep.
Our governor, Cooper, NC, has as one of his top advisors a
Chinese who is an official of the Chinese government....in short, a Chinese spy.
Aren’t we lucky to have such a good advisor?
We know a guy who is a COVID Nurse in an assisted living home on the south side of Chicago. Hes been doing this work for over 4 months. He states unequivocally that this entire thing is bullcrap.
Its time for normal Illinoisans to revolt.

My daughter is an NP in family practice. CoVid can be very nasty for some people. Those who develop the lung problems end up with extreme problems....ground glass is they way they refer to it. The X-rays show massive damage.
For most people they will do fine. It will be like a cold or flu. They recover no problem. Co morbidities particularly those associated with obesity seem to be involved in the worst cases
In Georgia hospitalizations are down deaths are down
My sister who is a doctor says the same thing.
take some precautions and go about your life
But Dr. Falsi says...
No masks. Stupid!
I burned 10 days in house arrest, no symptoms, 2nd vacation ruined by the Rona.
> death from Covid seems to be pretty low <
Is that because of all the shutdowns? Or is it because most people are taking precautions (masks, etc). Or is it because the virus actually isnt that big a deal?
Im normally not hesitant to take wild guesses on this forum. But in this matter there is too much conflicting info out there. So I must admit I dont have a clue as to what the truth really is.
.
She just sent me some more texts.
I think the shut downs are confusing and inconsistent so I’m not sure they’re effective. They’re just forcing people to gather in more creative venues instead of discouraging gathering. For example, if we shut down schools, the children have to go somewhere while parents work, which end up being daycares and at home sitters. Same volume of exposure, just different credentials. You can’t have a funeral but can protest, you can’t eat in a restaurant but can eat in a tent with 4 walls outside of it.
Our volumes in my district are rising, hospital bed occupancy is the highest it’s been in the 2 hospitals I support since the start. The issue from the start was the overtaxation of hospitals, not about eradicating the virus. Masking and social distancing appear to be most effective, but I can’t help but wonder if the closures are politically motivated.
We can’t eradicate the flu, why would we think it’s a possibility with Covid? The strain has already mutated much like the flu does seasonally. Grocery stores are jam packed yet we can’t sit in a restaurant 6 feet apart. I agree, feels very political at this point
I was wondering if you test positive multiple times if they score you as 1 or as the number of positive tests. Got my answer. Thanks.
Why not trust people to want what is best for their business, family, and themselves?
Let freedom ring
The shut downs are to control you!
A business with dozens of employees here shut down for a “deep cleaning” due to a “presumptive positive”.
The latter term is used to describe someone who - via ‘contact tracing’ - was found to have possibly been in proximity and/or contact with someone who tested positive.
No employees at the firm have tested positive.
It is unknown whether the business shutdown for “cleaning” was voluntary or compulsory, but certainly the liability factor played a part.
Imagine the damage which one person could do if they knew that they were positive and then later tested as such, with government contact tracing left to its own devices...
Just take the precautions to avoid getting sick and being quarantined. We need every vote we can get in six days!
America is self immunizing. Every positive is an immunization
