It sure looks like the J-E-T-S will get the first pick so I could not blame Sunshine if said nah.

This would be deja vu. The J-E-T-S had the first pick of the draft in the 1997 draft when Payton Manning was expected to leave U[Other]T. Payton decided to stay at U[Other]T for his senior season.

You should stay. But any quarterback who’s going first overall has a career that’s in serious jeopardy. A lot Don’t realize even the best potential quarterback can be ruined by being on a terrible team.what do you think Tom Brady would have been like if he had been on the Houston team that David Carr was on? David Carr seemed like an excellent quarterback but he spent many years of his career running for his life behind an offensive line that was largely theoretical, with coaches who weren’t helping him at all.

Jets should trade their #1 for a bucket full of draft picks. They are that bad and in need of a total rebuild.

I couldn’t blame him. His whole career could be ruined by starting out on the Jets.

Dallas may be looking for a QB, I think Dak will bolt for another team.

misleading headline...sound like he was busting the reporters b@lls:

“My mindset has been that I’m going to move on,” Lawrence said. “But who knows? There’s a lot of things that could happen.”

Reminds me of Archie Manning and the Aints. Terrible waste of a fine quarterback.

“It sure looks like the J-E-T-S will get the first pick so I could not blame Sunshine if said nah.”

Financially speaking, he’d be crazy to stay. Now, with the Jets lurking, I think an enterprising agent could figure a way to keep him away from those idiots.

The only thing worse would be going to the Browns!

Then there was Jim Plunkett who was physically and mentally wrecked by the Patriots and the 49’ers before being resurrected by the Raiders.

He reminds me of Favre in that every game looks like he’s playing with his mates in the backyard. So much fun to watch.

Didn’t the same thing happen with Eli Manning? The Chargers selected him at #1 in 2004 and then immediately traded him to the Giants because he has made it clear that he didn’t want to play for them.

Johnny Football should have stayed at A & M. He’d have the best stats, and who knows may have taken them to a championship.

Same with Lawrence. Stay in college. You’ll be the greatest quarterback ever and you’re with a champion team. You’re not going to play in the NFL much at first.
