These young Black girls should have been celebrating the first Black woman on the Supreme Court.
Instead, as the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett was well on its way, these girls — all 100 of them — got dressed up in judicial robes to launch a protest.
“Honor Her Wish,” their little masks read.
“Her wish,” of course, was Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s dying request that her seat wouldn’t be filled until after the election. Joe Biden has pledged to put a Black woman on the Supreme Court if he wins in November.
But President Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s hypocritical move to fill Ginsburg’s seat a mere eight days before the election means the 100 Black girls who have never seen a Black woman on the court will see instead a woman who looks nothing like them helping to decide huge issues in their futures.

If I remember the bizarre requirements correctly, you don’t have to be a lawyer to be on SCOTUS, so she wouldn’t even have to go to law school or be a judge. Candace Owens or ACB’s adopter daughter are both sounding promising!

Why do people assume that a majority of the Supreme Court would find Constitutional a law making the Court subservient to the Congress by “court packing?”

The perfect solution is this:
Set up a matrix. On one axis is ethnicity, on the other is gender. Each intersection represents a single court seat. Obviously there will be hundreds of possible combinations, so that once President Harris is in office, the packing can begin.
Fairness and social justice demands this.
Meant as an example.
Then again, how are Sotomayor or Kagan “qualified”?

Latinos and blacks are properly represented on SCOTUS as each group is about 12% of the general population and have 11% (1/9) of SCOTUS.
