I am reading a wonderful book about 1640 Maryland. Each chapter has a header. The one that caught my eye was written around 600 BC by Aesop.
"We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great one to public office."
Reminds me of the FBI, CIA, Bidens, etc.
Nobody cares........I'm cooking dinner and nobody cares.........
There is almost nothing in life that wasnt covered by the ancient Greeks.
LOL, in that four year old vanity by Jim, Rusty0604 commented “I think everyone is just so anxious and stressed about this election, people just want to start vanity conversations to help deal with it. So, if that helps, skip the Jack Daniels and just donate the savings to Free Republic!”
Another truism of life!
If you want attention, get a cat and don’t waste our time here...........Sheesh!
The one that caught my eye was written around 600 BC by Aesop.
Yeah, well, see...
600 BC really didn't happen in 1640 Maryland.
In fact the two were many miles and years apart.
Just think - if it wasn’t wasn’t for these vanities - these folks would be yelling at their neighborhood kids...
“Think of the children!”
1640 Maryland is a nice looking house. Zillow estimates it at $1,116,500.00. I didn’t know there was an entire book about it, though. Not on the market right now.
Maybe you can bid on it. Owners might be willing to give it up for the right price.
Not me Larry, I'm retired on a fixed income. You on the other hand, being a lawyer, are more likely able to afford it. Check it out, what do you have to lose........
