With All Due Respect, the Most Important Election of our Lifetime was 12 years ago.

The current slogan is “the most important election of our lifetime” is the 2020 election. I disagree. Without the massive systemic damage inflicted under Obama, with his race-war narrative and hyper-socialist policy impositions which seem all but undoable now, we wouldn’t be in the mess we find ourselves today.

Obama was in the convenient position to appoint 2 radical leftist Supreme Court justices and hundreds of federal inferior court judges. (https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2020/07/15/how-trump-compares-with-other-recent-presidents-in-appointing-federal-judges/), one of the highest number by any president. These judges had free reign to do Obama’s bidding unhindered. Even discounting Roberts as a throwaway vote, his two Supreme Court hacks pushed the defense of Obamacare over the top, as if Obamacare would have even been an issue if he had not been elected.

And the damage has lived after him, as numerous court decisions since Obama have stripped the proper, constitutional power of protecting our borders away from the sitting president in unprecedented ways.

No, Obama was the supreme damage. What we are seeing today is just the fallout.

Explain what’s wrong in what I wrote instead of spewing one word.

There wasn’t a dime’s worth of difference between McCain and Obama. As a matter of fact, I say we were better off with Obama, since most likely McCain would have gotten us into WWIII.

It’s awfully hard to beat the likes of Obama when it comes to destruction and radical Marxism. I think you do a disservice to McCain, as bad as he was. At least he had Palin as a backup.

I basically agree with you.

On the other hand, if there had been no president Obama, there would be no President Trump.

The election of Obama was a low point for this nation. First of all he was simply elected for being “black.” A genuinely racist vote.

Secondly he would not provide evidence that he is a natural born citizen. One of the two constitutional requirements thrown out the window. If you are required to be a natural born citizen then presupposes your will provide evidence of it. He would not (could not?). A mighty blow to our constitutional adherence.

Thirdly the outrageous amount of graft as currently evidenced by the Biden laptop has permeated our IRS, FBI, military, state department. We have outright treason in high levels.

John McCain would have given us much the same, Sarah Palin notwithstanding. Those were two peas in a pod.

I'm actually thinking McCain picked Palin to ensure he'd lose.

Look who Obama ran against in his two elections, the lack of choice is what made it a low point.

I don’t think there are important elections. The fed gov runs so much on its own momentum, really very little changes from one presidency to another. The government is run by lifers. Presidents come, presidents go, but these guys are forever.

That's how I see it, a lot of Hillary people were going to vote for McCain, until he picked Palin. Yes, Palin energized the base a bit, but she lost a lot of potential cross-over votes for McCain. I think that was the intent, since they really didn't want to win.

He’s 100% correct about the man who used the full weight of America to empower global islam while shutting down the west.
He sought to destroy our relationships with the “western” nations while destroying our heritage.
He empowered china and aided their meteoric rise to the detriment of America... stating this is the new norm...... suck it up/

Silly assertions both.

Akin to describing your dinner yesterday as more important than your dinner tonight. Or vice versa.

GO TRUMP!!

The next election is always the most important one, until there aren’t any more. Instead of pissing and moaning about the past, take some positive action to change the future.

Both parties conspired to violate the Constitution.

Obama is not a natural born citizen.

All of the crimes were preventable.

I grant that ignoring Obama’s birth certificate in 2008 was a big deal. Both parties signaled at that point that they didn’t necessarily care about the Constitution.

Although at the time, the differences seemed stark between Bush and Obama, in hindsight I happen to think the differences were small. And between Obama and McCain? Both were actively seeking the destruction of this country in my opinion.

2008 was largely a continuation of what we had been doing since 1988.

Trump in 2016 was a big deal. That was an attempt at a major course correction. President Trump’s first term was wildly successful in many ways — but the coup attempt was still a major distraction.

2020 is the year when either the Globalists reclaim the throne and make sure we never have a real Constitution again, or else it is the year in which Trump wins a second term and goes scorched earth to destroy the Globalists.

For me, 2020 in the most important election in my lifetime.

Obama winning was better than McCain ir Romney. We would have lost the republican party forever with their presidential win. We are lucky.

While the effects of the disaster that was 0 linger to the present, the Rs put up john effin mccain. He was never a serious contender. But the election of 2008 got us to where we are today - the mask has fallen ftom the left, a non-politician is president and we soon will have a conservative majority SCOTUS. Stll have faith in a substantial portion of the American people. Enough to avoid the disaster that is biden? We’ll see.
