We got a Helix cal-King mattress that we LOVE two years ago, and just ordered a 2nd Helix, Queen-size, for our guest room. We really like ours, and after a ton of research, we had narrowed it down to either Purple or Helix, as both had excellent reviews at the time. We’re real happy with ours.
I purchased Olee Sleep 12 inch Hybrid Euro Box Top Pocket Spring Mattress (King) from Amazon in December. Comes in a rectangular box. After 35 years on,waterbed stunned at the comfort. Also less the $250. I’m 6’ 2”, 225, wife 5’4” 110, we both love it!!
My younger son and his wife have a Purple Mattress, and they love it.
We bought a Tuft and Needle for us and then a Puffy mattress for the guest room. We like the Puffy mattress much better. Tuft and Needle is too soft; it’s now in the guest room.
Local company makes good heavy duty innerspring and I top it with a latex 3 inch topper. Allergy free and made in CT. Most comfortable and durable bed. Flip mattress2 x per year
I prefer plywood, actually. I have a 1 1/2 inch thick self inflating camp mattress on it. years ago i got so I could not sleep on a normal mattress or even a “superfirm” one. With the rig I put together, no more backache or morning headache.
