Hillary Clinton is sticking with her conviction that the 2016 presidential election was not conducted legitimately, saying the details surrounding her loss are still unclear.
“There was a widespread understanding that this election [in 2016] was not on the level,” Clinton said during an interview for the latest episode of The Atlantic’s politics podcast, The Ticket. “We still don’t know what really happened.”
“There’s just a lot that I think will be revealed. History will discover,” the Democratic Party’s 2016 presidential nominee continued. “But you don’t win by 3 million votes and have all this other shenanigans and stuff going on and not come away with an idea like, ‘Whoa, something’s not right here.’ That was a deep sense of unease.”
Clinton also offered copious criticism of President Trump, saying she warned the country about her former rival, and “it was even worse than I thought it was.”
“I really did feel sometimes like the tree falling in the forest. I believed he was a puppet of Putin.

I wonder if some powerful people in the Democrat Party realized they were more scared of her in the White House than out, and just lied to her about how it was going.

I’ll take a stab here to help her understand.....
Americans don’t like corruption. You corruptly froze Bernie out to secure the nomination. You even leaked a story about your primary competition (Biden) to the NYT about Ukraine corruption. You violated the law. Your foundation smells to high heaven. You talk down to people. You do not have a reputation as a “nice person” going back to your only days in the WH. Your campaign sucked. The potential first dude was a serial sex offender in the eyes of many. You failed utterly as Sec of State and did nothing as a Senator for a state you were not from.
For example, we already have intelligence of some of the back-room operations used to fiddle the vote totals. We have the long-known Chicago "thumb on the scales" in re vote collection and counting. I doubt strongly that the dirty tricks are limited to the Democrats -- cheating is a human trait.
As for the path to the Presidency, she continues to believe that the popular vote is the way. She forgets we are a Union of States, and it's the States that decides who wins the contest. So she can have some of the super-dense States locked up, and still lose in the Electoral College. That's how it works. The fly-over States count.
Frankly, I'd like if the power of the country went back to the States, and the Federal level would be 1/100th of what it is today. If not less.

It was not on the level alright. The democrats massively cheated just like they are doing this time around. But Trump still beat them in 2016. And Trump will need a larger number of votes this time around in order to overcome their cheating.
They didn’t cheat enough in the right states.
