Joe Bucks necessities for the next two weeks: one giant suitcase, two garment bags, plenty of room service and at least nine novel coronavirus tests. Thats the price of entry for the unusual stretch he is in, calling what could be 13 baseball games and four football games in 18 days.
As the sports schedule has been scrambled this fall by the pandemic, Buck, the lead play-by-play announcer for Fox Sportss baseball and football coverage, has seen his itinerary warped, too. Image without a caption
The silver lining in all of this, at least in my life, is baseball is in one location, Buck said in a phone interview from Bills Stadium in Buffalo on Monday afternoon. But it still comes at you pretty quick.
Bucks sprint began last week with six National League Championship Series games in Arlington, Tex., and continued over the weekend. He called Game 6 between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves on Saturday night, then hopped on a private plane to Tampa for the Sunday showdown between Aaron Rodgerss Green Bay Packers and Tom Bradys Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. (He missed Game 7 of the NLCS.) Then he flew to Buffalo for Mondays game between the Bills and Kansas City Chiefs before returning to Arlington, where the World Series started Tuesday night.
That was the first of as many as seven World Series games, if the series between the Dodgers and Tampa Bay Rays goes that far, with two more NFL games, in Philadelphia and Charlotte, mixed in.
Its snotty-sounding, Buck said of his private plane. But just to make sure that youre not waiting on a mechanical issue and you miss a game, we have to make sure were there. Its kind of a necessary evil.

Which stadium was that game with the flyover played in?
Joe Buck ,, Over-rated or what?
Da Planes Da Planes Hey Todd Look!! Todd?
Well hopefully there will not be any fly-overs or other expression of patriotism for our great country that will offend him....
Screw the NFL and everyone feeding off of it.
Tampa Bay I believe.
Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
Wait, theyre still Playing sports ball? I was sad when baseball canceled spring training and easily looked for a return, however by early May I had totally forgot about the lack of baseball. Then once they work for an SJW with black lives matter I really stopped caring about them. I havent watched an NFL game in years either so I could care less about that idiot Joe buck
I grew up listening to Vin Scully do baseball on the radio, so I guess I’m kind of spoiled when it comes to sports announcers, but I’ve never liked Joe Buck. It’s always seemed to me that he felt what he was talking about at a given moment was really more important than the game he was supposed to be covering.
So his recent remarks about the flyover hasn’t lowered my opinion of him all that much, but he did reveal something when he referred to a ‘Harris-Biden’ administration.
The Great Carnac says:
Joe Buck
Troy Aikman
Any and ALL sideline reporterettes
Everybody on ESPN
And all the other talking heads on every broadcast
And the laughing hyenas featured on every pre-game show(What is so damn funny?
Rips open the envelope and says,"Why was the MUTE button invented?"
Bucks sprint began last week with...
Publicly slamming our beloved and precious USAF pilots.
Those fly-bys count as training. They are not self-promoting. They are not wasteful. The budget for them comes from training budget.
He would have done better to explain Michelle obamas multiple personal trips on USAF budget, Nancy Pelosis getting away with traipsing her family on military transport. Or Hunter Bidens use of AF II to go to China
I am amazed at the audacity of these America haters.
Lucky me! I won’t be watching any MLB or NFL games and can avoid blowhard Joe Buck’s massive ego.
The only thing newsworthy in this article is the fact that the Washington Post would rather devote articles to Joe Buck’s “grueling October” than to the very real and growing evidence of Joe Biden’s corruption.
I hated Joe Buck long before any of this crap.
Trump is working 5x has hard as Joey Buck. Oh, on things that are a tad more important.
What a waste of jet fuel...
I wonder if anyone pointed that out to Joey and Troy after the fact.
Boy, that didnt take long. Trash Trump supporters and get a glowing article in the Washington Post.
Well done Joe!
He changed after he went national. When he was just working Cardinal games he was tolerable. I have been muting him for years.
Of course now that I kicked the mlb to the curb I don’t have to worry much about hearing anything the ass hat has to say.
