I was a high school wrestler in Indiana--the origin of the moniker of "Hoosier Hysteria" to refer to the sport of basketball. Making fun of basketball and basketball players is part of my personal psyche.

But now that the NBA is possibly the most "woke" professional sports league, bashing "fishball" is now mandatory. I have to suspect that the WNBA is even more "woke."

For a while American female soccer players were among the best in the world becuz the rest of the world that has been playing soccer for centuries is more sexist than us and didnt effectively train and support their womens' teams.

America fell in love with our women soccer players becuz they were the best in the world. But now that every other country has caught up I predict their popularity will wane.

On the other hand womens' bball has always been compared to mens bball and is a boring slow trainwreck in comparison.

Not in terms of looks, although I think that is true as well, fastpitch softball is a far better watch than women’s soccer and women’s basketball. Great sport for television.
