A man has been arrested in Connecticut on suspicion of starting a fire on a boat displaying a Donald Trump banner.
Olajuwon Johnson, 25, of Bridgeport, has been charged with third-degree arson following an incident at the East End Yacht Club at around 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
Scott Appleby, the city's director of emergency management and emergency communications, told the Fairfield Citizen Bridgeport Police had received reporting a man with a can of gasoline on a boat.
The 911 caller reported smelling smoke before noticing that a boat cooler was on fire. He extinguished the flames himself.
Police were then provided a description of the suspect. A man who later matched the description, later identified as Johnson, was found and detained.
The man who made the 911 call also identified Johnson as the person he saw on the boat.
Johnson was arrested and charged with third-degree arson. His bond was set at $10,000.
The owner of the boat, Mark Bourque, said that Jonson was found by police holding a gas can.

I think the biggest reason a lot of these leftists haven’t already been shot is that conservatives tend to be very law abiding citizens...Conservatives generally rely on law enforcement to do their job...
More and more today, law enforcement is becoming non-existent and I think it won’t be long before shooting begins...

It’s the only link to his ancestors, you know, the ones that survived the shark-infested trip from Africa back in 1619.
Would be interested if the boat with the banner had a toilet, a cooking burner and a bunk? If so, the boat is classed as a residence and, even if unoccupied at the moment, ups the arson charge to being against a dwelling. Like using a bomb, arson is an act of unspecified death potential, ie. the arsonist cannot really know the extent of injury the act may do.
How many of these acts of violence are coming from the non-LEFT, any? Yet it seems even with violence FROM Trump antagonists, the LEFT blames Trump for creating the climate of hate, ignoring completely the fact that their own vitriol is like gas on the fire tha they criticize.

It's not even a battleground state but the intolerant Democrats can't even stomach a little opposition. Law enforcement around here doesn't take it seriously because in CT it is just a Class C misdemeanor - similar to a speeding ticket - with a maximum fine of $500.
They really need to make this a felony, as you are trespassing on private property and damaging/stealing property.
