Vanity: HELP ME PLEASE!!

Posted on 10/18/2020 12:52:49 PM PDT by RevelationDavid

I need your input....!!

It remains a mystery to me… Why are we allowing this to happen! I ask all of you to help me understand this… Here is the simple number…

The United States of America has approximately 330 million people.

As of this date, there have been approximately 230,000 deaths having to do with anything COVID-19 related.

The CDC says that only approximately 7% of these people who unfortunately died… Actually died "FROM" COVID-19. The remainder of the people who have died have died "WITH" COVID-19. Be that what it may… Let's just do the numbers.

Let's divide 230,000 by 330,000,000… Let's do it together.

Unless I have a calculator that does not work properly… The answer to that division problem is

00.00069

I wish I had a meme of Elmer Fudd coming out sayin "that's all folks"

And so my question is this… Why in the hell are we sitting by and allowing this con job to continue!

If you are bending the knee and wearing a mask and putting up with this nonsense explain to me why?

You are more at risk of dying in a car accident… Have you stopped driving?

Wake the hell up… Refuse to comply. Be willing to suffer the consequences. BE Americans… And not surrender to edicts and mandates!!!

I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA AND I REFUSE TO PLAY THE GAME.

230,000 Covid deaths

about 35,000 auto crash deaths per year.

***************************************

.....you are missing some key numbers there....like % of population who drive....

.... And for that stat we could easily take those people who die not simply “with coronavirus 19”.... take the number of people that die “BY coronavirus 19”… Which is only 6% of the deaths that are attributed to COVID-19

And that number is simply under 14,000.

Yesterday I had my mask hanging off of my left ear. A woman said, “Put your mask on!”

I said, “I am not close to you at all. So leave me alone.”

Alternative response:

Cup your hand behind your ear and say "Eh? What? I can't hear you would you come closer and repeat that?" "Closer" "Closer"

Well that certainly creates a statistic, that being the percentage of infected that die from it. However, even that produces a misleading statistic. A person with one or more comorbidities may actually succumb to one or more of their comorbidities before they actually succumb to the virus itself. Even the CDC estimates that only 7% of the deaths can be attributed to the virus alone. If that is accurate then 93% had other contributing factors.

What we still don’t know is the end game.

I think, maybe...

As soon as people revolt and simply REFUSE to wear masks, China releases the real, deadly version they developed hand-in-hand with the relatively mild one they released around New Years...

Imagine how isolation is affecting our children. It's bad enough if you have a sibling or two to interact with. For only children it can be excruciating. Solitary confinement is rough on hardened criminals, it must be much worse for innocent children!

We flattened the curve, but the left wasn't satisfied.

We've flattened our children, and they still aren't satisfied.

Or as Livius adds:

But all the “public service” ad pitches for masks, isolation, etc. are that if somebody else gets “the virus,” it’s your fault. Children particularly are made to feel like radioactive waste, and to regard everybody else - especially all other children - as equal threats. They will indeed have a sense of diminished self-worth all of their lives. Especially for breaking out and doing normal kid things like laughing, jumping around - in other words, innocent fun and human expression. That won’t permitted in our future Marxist paradise.

That can't be good...

“Well, you are right. Simpler math just tells us that over 99 percent of those who contract this survive. And the less than 1 percent are often dear people who were vulnerable to the next opportunistic infection no matter what it was.”

Both lies. Although it might simply be confirmation bias on your part.

If you disagree, feel free to cite actual valid sources rather than hearsay.

According to the CDC’s numbers, as well as those reported by many other sources, the best case fatality rate anybody has achieved is till over 2.5% (not less than 1% as you claim). In 7 months, with 100 years of medical advances, we still have on average as many deaths per day as during the Spanish Flu. Without the travel bans and assorted mitigation efforts that you whine about there would be many more infections and many more dead. You are, in effect, complaining that a strategy was unnecessary because it was relatively successful. That’s kinda short sighted, doncha think? Oh, and your dismissal of the vulnerable as people that were going to kick it any time, anyway, is despicable.

Just for the record, the number of people that die in an average year from “just” the flu is 1,350. That’s a lot fewer than 6% of the 36 thousand deaths from flu and related illnesses. The 6% claim is a deliberate deception by the ODD crowd bleating about masks (they probably drive drunk, too). There are very few infectious diseases that do all the killing by themselves. Almost all simply pave the way for opportunistic infections that trigger septic shock or organ failure.

Did I mention how despicable your attitude regarding the lives of vulnerable old and sick folks is? It’s very Andrew Cuomo of you to dismiss those people as meaningless. Useless eaters, right, just like Mao saw them? Yeah. Who are you to decide on the value of a human life? Abortionist logic - they are just lumps of cells, to be retroactively aborted 50, 60, 70, 80 years after the fact, right?

If you absolutely have to bitch and moan, complain about China unleashing this thing on the world and China Joe enabling them.

I have put off my husband’s and my dental appointments for the year...have no clue how you can get your teeth cleaned wearing a mask or any other work that may be necessary. I understand the dentist always has a mask on as well as the dental assistant does but what does the patient do?

Additionally, I just don’t understand of all the well known names that have stated they have the virus, they are all alive and kicking. The first I believe was Tom Hanks and his wife but are they not still alive? Why are the only people dying relatives or acquaintances unknown to anyone but family and friends and therefore make up the statistics we hear daily?

How much TV time did Chris Cuomo miss while he HAD the virus? I heard him say last week that he was very sick and gave it to his wife and son but fortunately, they weren’t as sick as he had been????? Almost as proud of that as winning an award of some kind. How many nights did he have his equally obnoxious brother on his show?

I don’t get it...

“Simpler math just tells us that over 99”

His figure of 00.00069 is pretty simply arrived at.

That’s .069 percent that died.

That’s 99.93 percent that have lived.

So “over 99% lived is way too low. It should be over 99.9% lived.

less than 1 in 1000 have died.

That is so true!

We arrived in a conservative area and saw the difference, long ago.

Then we moved again, from that once-conservative place that had turned (sort of like milk)liberal, to one that is still conservative.

It was like walking out into sunlight and breathing fresh air, again.

Hard to stay ahead of the proggies.

You have educated me. Next time I will have to include bandanas as part of category 2, which consists basically of non-disposable masks that are utilitarian and just get the job done.

Let's divide 36,000 by 330,000.

Did you mean to say 330,000,000?

First off, there are not 330,000,000 drivers in the U.S. Those under 15 never drive, or are not allowed to drive I should say. There are also many people who are old and cannot drive. There are people who are blind and cannot drive. There are those with infirmities that prevent them from driving. There are those who are too terrified to drive. There are those who drive short distances, as well as, those that drive very limited times a month. Well you get the picture.

In addition there have been some improvements made to reduce the number of deaths from auto accidents. Such as seat belts, and more importantly air bags to name but two of these improvements. One requires the driver to participate, while the other does not require the driver to actively participate as it is a function built into the vehicle.

So while you are technically correct that there are fewer deaths if we use the deaths that gets bandied around as gospel. But you are wrong if we use the CDC estimate that only 7% of the deaths were caused by the virus alone, as that number of virus deaths is smaller than the number of traffic fatalities.

So you see, it all depends on the validity of the data, and which data you choose to employ.

There were also two strong motivators to pad the number of virus deaths.

The first being political motivations, we are in an election year and the Democrats have a loser, and by all accounts most likely very corrupt, as their candidate while President Trump has been very successful.

The second being economic motivations, as the hospitals were paid more for those who died from the virus.

So while figures may never lie, liars are always figuring how to present the figures to make their case. Never forget that. 8>)

Well, some of us have to buy groceries, and go to doctor’s appointments; and in my state one has to wear a mask to do that. My state also “encourages” wearing a mask any time one is out of one’s house, but that one I ignore.

I had a crown prep appointment 3 days ago - first, call from the parking lot - the gal comes out and scans my temperature then lets me into the waiting room with mask mandated and chairs spaced apart.
Back to the chair with no arm rests, swish hydrogen peroxide in my mouth for 30 seconds then spit back into paper cup. After that it was business as usual.
