Great. There go goalposts...”If it saves just one life...”
They will legislate that goalposts must be made of some lightweight material, that will not doubt flap in the breeze.
I have a relative who kicked field goals in college. A fan of that he would not be.
Yet another example in which moving the goalposts leads to trouble. In this case, moving them in a downwards direction.
I sincerely pray that she regains her facilities, fully and that nothing hampers her recovery.
Amen.
“Great. There go goalposts...”

Generally good folks live out there.
Prayers up.
Cheerleading is a deceptively dangerous sport. My youngest daughter was a cheerleader. We have had many visits to the emergency room.
Bingo. Many serious injuries every year involving dismounts from pyramids.
I remember being a pubescent boy and thinking those Cowboy cheerleader uniforms were just about the sexiest thing on earth.
Today you see women wearing far less walking down the street all the time.
Damn. Freak accident, hope she recovers fully and quickly.
People see the cheerleaders on TV during NFL or NBA games and think 'they're just dancers'. And that's true, at that level that's all they do.
But at the high school and college levels they are generally crazy athletic gymnasts too. Lots of skill and athleticism needed at that level, and plenty of opportunity for injuries as there are for any athlete. At the high school level I have as much respect for the cheerleaders as I do for the teams.
Of course at the NFL level it's different; I much prefer the cheerleaders.
Back in the mid 80s a young couple lived in the house right behind us. She was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader at the time... looked pretty cute in her game day outfit. :-)
How about just not allowing people to climb up something that wasn’t meant to bear weight?
I mean they impressed the heck out of me.
And I was a Steeler fan living in Pittsburgh. ;)
