Hoping he had “some” experience , Skipper was asked about flying WWF’s bi-plane off island , his reply was that.... yes, he was on an aircraft carrier........ as a cook.

A show in 1947 that nobody saw due to the fact that few people had a television?
The Brady Bunch was the first show where a married couple were shown in bed together even though the dude didn’t like women and wouldn’t touch one.

For years after the series “Maryann”would sent Russell Johnson a Christmas Cards signed “...and the rest”

After being on that Island after a few days, I would think he was studying Maryanne and Ginger pretty hard....

I worked with Dawn Wells four years ago and I shared with her about a close friend who lived next door to the late Russell on Bainbridge Island, WA. Dawn, at age 74, was still lovely and confided "I was so very much in love with him. If he weren't married, I would have had him!"
I was on Team Ginger until meeting her.

Ginger Grant did a deodorant commercial after the show ended, IIRC.
Tina Louise also played a supporting character in the original "Stepford Wives", a wife who loved tennis until her husband had her turned into a robot.

IIRC its not a theory as Schwartz said in bio or book about it that he conceived the show to be just that.

You realize the incel by choice is the ultimate oxymoron.
Incel= INvoluntary CELibate.
By choice is the polar opposite of involuntary.
A valid point. Did not think it through. Though in the Professor’s case, I am not sure. You would think that MaryAnn and Ginger would be available and willing. But all they seemed to do was want to tease.

There were two versions of the theme song. One used “and the rest”, the other had “the Professor and Mary Anne”.
