Hollywood supported the lockdowns. Can't feel sorry for them.

“We Could Lose Movie Theater-Going Forever”
What took them so long. The last time I went to a theater was because my wife really wanted to see War Horse. Meh. It was better at home when we streamed it a few months ago.
I really enjoyed Avatar in imax 3D. Other than the eye candy aspect, the movie sucked, though. I also saw episode 1 of star wars when it hit the theaters because I had free passes. But that’s my moviegoing history this century.
A halfway decent home theater and 55” flat screen at home is literally better than the theater experience. Why bother?
I think this lockdown is bringing a lot of changes that were waiting in the wings. The biggest one is Work From Home. That is a serious game - and culture - changer. I feel for owners of commercial real estate in cities. They are going to take a serious bath on this.

That was my first thought, too.
Frankly, I’m surprised its even still around. Home Theater is miles ahead of where it was decades ago. And on-line is faster.
Things change.

No more $15 popcorn and $7 drinks? So sad

If you think they are angry now, wait till they find out the shutdowns were not necessary and were only a political move to oust Trump. When Democrats say BURN IT ALL DOWN no one is spared.

Agreed. Cancel Culture has destroyed humor, creativity, historical dramas. Whats left Is propaganda not worth the price of theaters and exorbitantly expensive refreshments.

Nothing but recycled politically corrected garbage.
Isn’t that the truth? Hollywood hasn’t had an original plot in forever. Let them sink into the muck they helped create.
