Yep, with blue tooth technology, the drive in is the way to go. No crappie speakers in the car window. So many advantages in the modern tech age that outdoor movies would provide a family. Build one of the old multi screen drive ins. Park your car and log in to get the sound through your car or a device. Family hangs out in the car or tail gates. A 50s themed take out restaurant. Build one into a malls parking lot instead of an AMC. After 8 pm here, the malls are deserted and a huge back parking lot is empty. So many ways to make this profitable in this high tech day and age.

“Bring back Drive In theatres.”
Seems like a good idea. Been ages since I’ve been to one. Do they supply the sound so it’s played in your car’s sound system? I’m only familiar with the boxes you hung on your window.
Regarding movie theater going, this is entertainment so not a serious issue to me. But home TVs are so big and beautiful now. That’s gotta reduce theater going. However, there’s nothing like a theater for a huge screen and huge sound and being out and about.

I'd be all for it, no punks kicking at the back of your seat(that weren't your own), morons talking or using their phones with no consideration of others(several generations have been raised with the manners of a feral cat, and one of the biggest pluses? being ale to listen to a movie at a volume that doesn't cause permanent hearing damage!
Sadly for places like California the property has become too valuable to allow it to sit idle as a Drive-in in a great deal of the state. I have fond memories of watching two and even three movies on one night, Jaws and the Exorcist were great, and the Drive-in could be a great place to spend an evening even if you didn't go to watch the movie ; )
