Could North Texas be getting some of Nasdaqs systems?
Gov. Greg Abbott said Tuesday that the Lone Star State could be in the mix.
I've been talking with the Nasdaq stock exchange about moving some of their operations to Texas, Abbott said in the message on Twitter. They want to flee high taxes. I let them know that we just passed a constitutional amendment banning an income tax in Texas.

In Texas, property taxes alone can exceed income tax and property taxes combined in other states.
Getting out of NY is like One Flew Over the Coocoo’s Nest, an imperative for any same person or business to achieve.
I would suggest Ft Worth over Dallas but either is 100 times saner and safer than NY!
Tampa, Miami, Orlando and Atlanta are four cities that could easily absorb the NASDAQ exchange and as to the IT infrastructure any of those cities could easily accommodate the NASDAQ the current transactions of including those for the NYSE take place in New Jersey and their standby sites can be activated in a matter of hours. The move if it would happen has far less to do with IT infrastructure than you might imagine

Remember hurricane sandy it flooded Manhattan a couple of years ago, the point is a facility could be built to withstand any hurricane. The Home Shopping Network was based out of St. Petersburg and was built to withstand a Cat 5 hurricane with enough power production capacity to operate indefinitely so long as diesel fuel was delivered
