It’s kind of depressing. LOL! I love autumn. At least till it gets frigid. We haven’t even had any 60s yet, except at 2 in the morning.

LOL! Actually I used to wear layer upon layer when my hubby and I went riding on his bike and it wasn’t summer. I am cold natured and the wind is brutal on a bike. BTW...he had a big Gold Wing Honda and it was very comfortable to ride on.

Indeed. Riding a Gold Wing is like sitting in your living room in your favorite easy chair. LOL!

I could see it was from the pictures. I was a reluctant passenger and doubt if I’d have ever gotten onto something as tough as Blue is.

I’m a reluctant passenger too. I keep trying to operate from the back seat! LOL.
I was driving my car yesterday (grocery shopping) and I was annoyed with the automatic transmission. The car seemed to be changing gears too late into the sound of the revs, IMNSHO.
I wanted to go into a higher gear long before the gear changed.

 October 10Fighting Lifes Dragons

Having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
Colossians 2:15 Have you ever fought a dragon? If you answered no, author Eugene Peterson disagrees with you. In
A Long Obedience in the Same Direction, he wrote, Dragons are projections of our fears, horrible constructions of all that might hurt us. . . . A peasant confronted by a magnificent dragon is completely outclassed. Petersons point? Life is
filled with dragons: the life-threatening health crisis, the sudden job loss, the failed marriage, the estranged prodigal child. These dragons are the supersized dangers and frailties of life that were inadequate to fight alone.
But in those battles, we have a Champion. Not a fairy tale championthe ultimate Champion who has fought on our behalf and conquered the dragons that seek to destroy us. Whether theyre dragons of our own failures or the spiritual enemy who desires our destruction, our Champion is greater, allowing Paul to write of Jesus, Having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15). The destructive forces of this broken world are no match for Him!
The moment we realize that the dragons of life are too big for us is the moment we can begin to rest in Christs rescue. We can confidently say, But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57).

By:  Bill Crowder Reflect & Pray

What dragons are you facing in life? How can Christs victory on the cross provide encouragement as you deal with them?

Father, thank You for being more than enough for the threats I will face today. Give me the wisdom and strength to walk with You, trusting You for the grace I need.

Wow that's one cool cat! I was at my nephew's wedding today. Very nice afternoon/evening spent with friends and family. My little 2 year old great-nephew loved dancing to the DJ music. That little guy will have a good long sleep tonight, he danced around a long time. 😅

That cat meme made me LOL! Will share it with my sister, she loves cats.
