Verizon has been quietly scrambling to unload HuffPost as it grapples with continued losses at the left-leaning news and culture website, The Post has learned.
The telecom giant — which acquired the site formerly known as the Huffington Post as part of its $4.4 billion purchase of AOL in 2015 — has approached multiple digital-media companies during the past few months in a bid to get the property off its books as losses accelerate due to the coronavirus, according to sources close to the situation.

I unloaded Verizon recently.
Hell, just mask ads would probably float most media sites right now, but with the looney leftwing audience of HuffPo, surely they made mega bank during the lead up and into the Rat primaries.
So it can't be problems with sources of revenue, it must be spending way too much on staffing. And that’d have to be WAAAAAY too much with all the political cash.
Fire half the staff, say you're looking for new talent, open it up for slightly more crappy current journalism student written news and then fire the other half.

The Huffpost actually had a good business for a while, but they made a few poor decisions that lost them most of their readership. They alienated both their volunteer writers, and their argumentative readers. At one time, it was the leftish equivalent of FR, where each article received hundreds of posts. There were some very sharp people involved, but they all left when management changed the rules.

Unfortunately Arianna sold the Huffington Post to AOL for Billions back in 2011 and has nothing to do with it today.
