A con-artist who accepted £45,000 in cash gifts from a widower with dementia after telling him 'sob stories' about being homeless has been jailed for stealing more than £8,000 from his account.
Susan Geary, 33, mercilessly preyed on the lonely 72-year-old, texting him that she loved him, wanted to live with him and they had a 'great and true love'.
The victim, diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, regularly gifted her cash sums which totalled £45,000 over several months.
He said that he did it because he felt sorry for who he knew as 'Belinda Amy' - Geary's two middle names - and said he did it willingly. The £45,000 did not form part of the Crown's case against Geary.

that is a rough looking 33

True. It’s hard to say if he knew this woman an her children were losing him. Even younger men can fall for that.
I learned long ago to look at a woman’s eyes, they are windows into their soul. Some women have soft gentle eyes and others as pictured above have eyes that are hard as a rock. Don’t ever go with a woman with “hard eyes”!
You can also add don’t date a chick with meth scabs...

Sometimes, just sometimes....it’s also ego. Gentleman or lady wants a pretty young woman or handsome young man around and doesn’t want to have to ‘pay,’ for the attention. They can fool themselves into ‘helping/assisting’ a person, instead.
If the daughter were smart she would have got power of attorney, earlier. That said, she could suggest to the father to actually hire someone to keep him company. There are legitimate caretakers who will spend time with folks and that would also be safer....
