I've been shooting for 70 years and I don't trust them, not me.
I know, it's always the owners fault for not changing the clips enough,to keep the tension up on the springs, so that jamming is minimized.
Minimized has always been my problem with a semi-auto.
I have NEVER had a problem with a wheel gun, but I have had multiple jams and misfires with many different brands and kinds of semi-auto pistols.
Most of the time, the semi-auto is reliable, but when it jams, do you have time to clear it?
I'll take less bullets for more reliability when carrying a gun for my protection.
It is always the users choice.

They won’t happen if you keep your damn finger OFF THE TRIGGER when you are drawing your weapon. Your should draw your weapon out with the bottom three fingers on the grip. If you can’t draw using just these three fingers, then you need another holster setup.
Referring to the now infamous Mr Grebner I presume. Sometimes your role in life is just to be a warning to others... :)
Glock needs to include a warning on all sides of the box and also etched onto the slide that their handguns MUST be used with the proper holster.

If they’re too stupid to own a Glock, they’re too stupid to own a gun. I have a bunch of firearms. Every one of them demand the user activate his brain .. first. Any one of them will kill said user dead if he doesn’t.
I hate when I do that.
I wish I had that amount of time (and ammo) to do that.
Another thing that worries me is the need for two-handed operation of a semi auto. In order to use it you have to pull it out and THEN slide the doohickey back to load and make it ready to go bangy.
Then it stays in that state until you release the trigger, pull out the magazine, then eject the one in the chamber.
That’s too much for me in a life or death situation. I want to point and shoot.

Dumbass. NEVER stuff a Glock into your pants or pocket. Always carry it in a holster.

Correct! You don’t have to die, just to remove yourself from the gene pool...
We have a lot of first-time gun buyers who want a Glock and I ALWAYS warn them strongly to carry it in a holster. I will try to steer them to a revolver if they don’t plan on practicing with it enough to become proficient.
My EDC is a Sig P290. Hammer fired and double action only. Easy and safe to carry with the chamber loaded.
