Finally a movie worth watching.
Love Caveizel. Unafraid to speak up.
This July, let He who is without sin kick the first ass.
The Resurrection.
I was sitting near two college students when I watched it. I was quite a few years their senior.
Partway through the movie I prayed, “Father, is my heart hardened? I’m not moved at all by this.”
A little later in the film I heard a very loud wailing and sobbing. I realized it was me. I bawled off and on through the movie. When the house lights came on, the ushers came in to clean up for the next show, but no one moved. I was blubbering and the college guys were trying to console me. Others were quietly weeping. The ushers stood there, not knowing what to do.
I bought a DVD of The Passion, but I’ve never played it. Maybe I will before The Resurrection comes out.
That about how my movie experience went, along with me being surprised at how it got me in the guts.
LOL, if only Charles Bronson was still alive, he would have been perfect.
Well Jesus was around 50 days after rising. Scripture records many hundreds of people saw Jesus during these 50 days.
YESSSS!!
I can’t wait....he has a hard challenge/high bar....to follow.
Thank you.
It’s called The Book of Acts
I will go see this.
:)
40 days
I do, too. It’s so hard todo, but not nearly as hard as what Jesus did for us.
His Edmond Dantes was one of the better ones.
Yes 40 days
Not sure why i thought 50
I saw it four times.
Three with my old man and once with my dad because no one else had the guts to go with him and he really wanted to see it.
The theater was totally empty so we sat in the center middle.
Two more people came in and sat right in front of us.
[no idea why but they messed up my usual recline/feet up thing]
During the scourging whips scene, my dad leaned over and whispered a LOT louder than he thought he did “If I’d been there, I’d have shot all those sons a bitches”.
The people in front of us visibly tensed up.
So I whispered back “And if you had, we’d all be going to Hell, now”
He replied “You got a point”.
The people in front of us moved up an aisle.
What do you mean? He was resurrected. No?
