I saw it four times.
Three with my old man and once with my dad because no one else had the guts to go with him and he really wanted to see it.
The theater was totally empty so we sat in the center middle.
Two more people came in and sat right in front of us.
[no idea why but they messed up my usual recline/feet up thing]
During the scourging whips scene, my dad leaned over and whispered a LOT louder than he thought he did “If I’d been there, I’d have shot all those sons a bitches”.
The people in front of us visibly tensed up.
So I whispered back “And if you had, we’d all be going to Hell, now”
He replied “You got a point”.
The people in front of us moved up an aisle.
Great story. Proud of your dad.
Ha ha great story. I’m with your dad but Jesus had to walk that walk for our salvation and by His stripes we are healed.
It’s just me, I really don’t like seeing people hurt and suffering which is why I went in to medicine. I even have a hard time around Passover and His crucifixion but I enjoy resurrection day.
After decades of listening to pastor give details( as well they should) over and over it’d really tough for me and I find myself tuning out.
