It’s imperative that Congress immediately confirms a new Supreme Court justice
American Thinker ^ | 09/19/2020 | Andrea Widburg
Posted on 9/19/2020, 10:37:37 AM by SeekAndFind

Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death didn’t just leave a vacant seat on the Supreme Court. It left a court evenly divided Supreme Court between four leftist justices and four strict constructionist justices. With his usual acumen and clarity, Ted Cruz explains why an evenly divided court is a recipe for a civil breakdown.

We can all understand the reasonableness of having an uneven number of Supreme Court justices: It substantially diminishes the likelihood of a stalemate. However, Ginsburg’s death means that, as we head into the most contentious election process in American history, the Court has eight justices. Worse, the justices are split evenly along ideological lines.

On the one side are the so conservative justices. In this context, conservative means that they believe that the Constitution as written, and as its authors intended it to be understood, must be the single-most-important document in any judicial analysis. Next in order of importance for analysis are acts of Congress, again to be interpreted as Congress intended when it passed the documents.

Was the death of RBG needed at this time because:
A. Q threatened something big was coming.
B. There was chatter that Wray was to be replaced.
C. They are getting ready to pull Sloppy Joe out of the race due to dementia/Ukraine.
D. In 3 days we find out if we get to see Maxwell’s original deposition.
E. All of the above!

They’ve been saving her for when things got hot.

This may be an opportunity for
@realDonaldTrump
to cut a deal with the Dems. In exchange for waiting to appoint RGBs replacement until after the election, they agree to no mail in ballots or ballet harvesting. Voting in person and absentee ballots only, counted election night.

But seriously, if they lose Abortion.

Will they then be destroyed, because the Demons they serve, are angry about not getting anymore human sacrifices?

Here's a little secret: It's senate tradition that if a sitting senator is nominated for SCOTUS, hearings are waived & it goes straight to a floor vote. PDJT named 3 senators on his new 20. He could potentially nominated Mike Lee on Mon & be confirmed Tue before anyone's blinked— Brian Cartwright (@blcartwright) September 19, 2020

Amy Coney Barrett is probably the best choice if Trump is going to try for a fast-tracked confirmation. Female, check. Solid originalist/textualist, check. Young, check(48). Trump was saving her for this seat.

It’s doubtful they’ll dredge up an old sorority sister who will claim they ran rape gangs or that she’s a closet child-molester. Not being male does have it’s advantages ;-)

Will it matter to Murkowski or Collins? Will Mitt go back to Utah and be proud of having voted against a strong pro-life nominee?

If like me you think finding a politician who is not dirty is like trying to pick up a turd by the clean end, then where is the dirt on Murkowski? We know her old man doesn’t have a stellar record (one of Sarah Palin’s good ole boys club members) and surely someone has some leverage on this bish. Collins, who knows what she will do, she’s a democrat with an R behind her name. Mitch ought to be able to slap the others like Sasse in line if needed, by threatening to pull campaign money if nothing else.

We know what Our Lord said about the lukewarm. THIS is the real battle of our time! If your churches are still closed, perhaps it’s time for a letter to your bishop?

McConnell said he’ll bring the SCOTUS nomination for a vote and his statment did not sound as though he’ll wait until after the election.

The Dems will go rabid bats*** crazy whenever the process starts. Why wait? I don’t think he will at all. His statement is comment 56.
